Built for highway use, this radial tire with a 10-ply rating delivers serious hauling power. Each tire supports up to 2,830 lbs at 80 psi and holds a speed rating of L (75 mph), so it stays cool and stable mile after mile. The double steel belts, double polyester plies, and nylon overlays help prevent tread separation for dependable performance on long trips.

The 15" x 6" Margay aluminum wheel has a tough gunmetal gray finish that’s both lightweight and rustproof. An automotive-grade clear coat on the front protects against scuffs and scratches, keeping it looking sharp season after season. With a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern and a 4.25" pilot diameter, it’s ready for years of reliable service in all kinds of environments.
No need to spend extra time at a shop—this tire comes mounted on the wheel and ready to install. It’s the kind of convenience that gets you back on the road faster. And if you ever want to fine-tune your setup for long hauls, internal balance beads like part # CA66VR can be added later for smoother wear over high mileage.
This assembly includes Lionshead’s complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years, with flat tire service available 24/7 anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. The Westlake tire also carries a 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee—if it’s damaged for any reason not covered by warranty within the first year, it’ll be replaced at no charge along with flat labor compensation for mounting.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Westlake ST 225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range E, and it's mounted on this 15 inch Gunmetal Gray Margay Series Aluminum Wheel with the six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight, and rust-proof.
And we mentioned it's a Margay Series, which you can see is a six spoke design. And if you notice, the edge of the spokes, and in the outer lip has a nice machine finish to it to give it a nice shine to the wheel. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. A few dimensions on the wheel itself. The diameter of the wheel is 15 inches.
The width on just the wheel is six inches wide. Bolt pattern on this wheel is a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on the wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six, it's pretty simple because if you notice, the lug holes are directly across from each other. So what I have to do is pick any lug hole. And then when you measure it, just measure from the center of that lug hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it.
On this one, it'll measure five and a half inches. So that'll tell you this is a six lug, five and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. And the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. Now if you notice, this wheel does not have a center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. When you did a center cap, you do need to get one that has the same diameter as this pilot hole. Because when you put in your center cap, it'll go through this hole, put it in through the rear, and it'll hold in place. So when you get a center cap, you wanna make sure it has the same diameter, which on this pilot hole, is 4.25 inches. The tire that's on this wheel is a Westlake Radial Tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester ply for a nice, long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial ply tire so it's great for highway use. This tire is also an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire. That means it has the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. So it is created specifically for trailers, that's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here you'll see "ST," for "Special Trailer," 225/75R15. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width, 8.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 28.3. This tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10 ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. Now this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. It also has a speed rating. The speed rating on it is labeled on the sidewall by a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter L. Speed rating L will mean this has a 75 mile per hour speed rating. They do offer a complimentary roadside assistance for two years, and a flat tire service is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake 225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range E, mounted on this 15 inch Gunmetal Gray Margay Series Aluminum Wheel with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern.

After one year, these wheels and tires still look great! They support the trailer well and keep their pressure. I chose to keep them covered with RV wheel covers when parked. Still very pleased with my purchase.

Glad you like them, Peter! And I agree, they definitely look good on there! ^___^ Sorry we didn't have a better option for the lug nuts, but I'm glad you found some good ones. What are you typically hauling?
