This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Westlake ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15 inch gun metal gray Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a tire and wheel assembly, it's ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rust proof, and we mentioned it's a Margay series, which you can see is a five spoke design, uses a gun metal gray finish, but then if you notice on the edge of the spokes and even on the outer lip, they do a machine finish on there to give some shine to the wheel you can see as we turn it here. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front of the wheel to protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches.
Few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches. Now, this wheel does have a bolt pattern of five on four and a half inches, and if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. What you need to do is, it's a little more difficult than an even number of lugs, but what you'll do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or to this hole, but when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this one, if we measured it, it would be four and a half inches.
So this bolt pattern will be a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,150 pounds. Now, if you notice the center cap is not included with this wheel. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on our website.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here 'cause when you install your center cap, it's gonna go through that pilot hole. The diameter of the pilot hole here is 3.19 inches. The tire that's mounted on this is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester ply for a nice long life, and they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. This is a radial applied tire, so it is great for highway use.
It is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, so it has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on other vehicles. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall. Right here, you'll see ST for Special Trailer, 205 75R15, the R means it's a radial tire. Section width is eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 27.1 inches. And this tire is a load range D, which means it's an eight ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI, and this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. Also this tire does have a speed rating on it and they stamp the speed rating on the sidewall, but it's stamped with a letter designation, and where you'll find that it's pretty easy, right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter L stamped on there. Speed rating L will mean this is a 75 mile per hour speed rated tire. They do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years and flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST 205 75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D mounted on this 15 inch gun metal gray Margay series aluminum wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern.
