Features to know about

Built for Real Highway Miles: Load Range D with 81-mph Speed Rating

This Loadstar ST175/80D13 bias tire is made to take on long hauls without worry. It’s rated for 1,610 lbs at 65 psi and carries a speed rating of M (81 mph). The 8-ply construction combines strength with a smooth, stable ride, and the tire-and-wheel assembly meets Department of Transportation specs for added peace of mind when the miles pile on.

Corrosion Resistance That Lasts: Clear-Coated Aluminum Wheel

Salt, humidity, and road grime don’t stand a chance against the 13" x 5" aluminum wheel. It’s fully rustproof and clear-coated on both sides for lasting protection. The “star” spoke pattern adds a sharp look, and the wheel’s aluminum build means no worries about corrosion even after years outdoors.

Ready to Mount and Go: Balanced, Hassle-Free Setup

This combo comes fully mounted and inflated right out of the box, saving time and mounting costs. The wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, a zero offset, a 3.19" pilot diameter, and uses standard 1/2"-20 bolts—everything lined up for easy installation and fitment confidence.

Strong Where It Counts: Bias-Ply 8-Layer Build for Uneven Roads

The bias-ply design uses thick nylon cords laid at a 30- to 45-degree angle in alternating layers. That stiffens the sidewalls so the whole tire flexes together over rough or uneven ground. The result is better stability and smoother handling when trailering over mixed surfaces or off-pavement areas.

Guaranteed Confidence: 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

For the first year, Kenda covers this tire with a worry-free replacement guarantee if it’s damaged in any way. On top of that, you get a 5-year tire warranty and a lifetime warranty against structural defects on the wheel—solid backing for a setup built to last.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

These wheels definitely add to the look of my new boat trailer. The tires and how they hold up will only be proven with time and miles.

by:

Excellent Product!! Have had them for a little over a year and have put about 1k miles on them. Couldn't be happier. They are SOLID and they have not disappointed me on my travels. The extra load range was exactly what I needed for added assurance. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs them. I get very good looks when I am on the road with this upgrade.

by:

Easy to buy from shipping was fast

ETrailer customer service sure sounds great at first with the many emails on the status, progress, follow-up but honestly when it comes to really helping they fail. Like the multiple reviews given previously, they failed to advise what was really needed. Many have noted that longer than standard lug nuts will be needed, but nobody recommended this with the order. The solution seems simple but even when I called to resolve the issue I was only asked if I wanted to return the order and told to "have a good one". Very frustrating.

One of the tires I received is a year and four months old! Manufacture date code of 4921 = Dec 6, 2021. The other two are six months old. Manufacture date code of 4122 = Oct 2, 2022. If the average age to replace tires is 6 years, one tire is already at 3/4 life expectancy remaining. I can accept a six month old tire, but not one that is almost a year and a half old upon receipt.

I do have information that I hope will alleviate your concerns on the tire. It is best to purchase tires that are no more than two years old. As long as they are in that two year time frame, it will not affect the warranty or the life expectancy of the tire.

  • Does Going from Steel to Aluminum Trailer Wheels Require Different Lug Nuts
Aluminum trailer wheels like the Loadstar part # AM31245 that you referenced have steel sleeves where the lug nuts contact which means you do not need to use different lug nuts from what you have now that you were using with your steel wheels. There would be no issues due to dissimilar metals.

  • Choosing Between Galvanized Trailer Wheels and Aluminum Trailer Wheels for a Boat Trailer
In the galvanizing process, depending on how the manufacturer dries the wheels some of it can pool on one side due to the dipping processed used. That is an issue you are going to run into with many wheel manufacturers. It is an ongoing issue. What I recommend is to go with an aluminum wheel and tire combo like # AM32001HWTB or # AM31245. You pay a little more, but you still get excellent corrosion resistance, style, and none of the issues associated with galvanized wheels.

  • Recommended Tire/Wheel Combination For Trailer Smoker
From the tire size you said is on the trailer, the tires are 12 inch and would not be a fit for 13 inch wheels. For a tire with the numbers you said, the first number is the width of the tire and the second number is the size tire. I have attached a helpful article about tire size you can check out. You may be able to put 13 inch tire/wheel combos on your trailer. You will need to know the lug pattern and the pilot diameter, and determine if there is enough clearance with 13 inch wheels...

  • Rust Resistant Wheels Tires and Suspension For Off-Roading With Trailer
We do offer many options of galvanized and aluminum wheels that do not rust or corrode. The Timbren Axle-less suspension system part # ASR400S02-G does not come in a galvanized option but the Timbren systems are powder coated with black powder coat to resist wear and corrosion. This kit is also made for smaller tires, so it doesn't accommodate a larger tire like you need for off-roading. I recommend Timbren Axle-less 1,200 lb suspension for Off-Road Tires part # A12WS545. • Will 175/80-13 Wheels and Tires Fit On an EZ Loader EZB 12-14 1000 Trailer?
You will most likely need to modify your EZ Loader EZB 12-14' 1000 trailer as it comes with a 4.80-12 wheel and tire like the Kenda # AM30590. This tire is 20.5" tall and 4.8" wide. The Loadstar ST175/80D13 # AM31245 you found is 24" tall and 6.6" wide. This will require an additional 1.75" of vertical clearance and 0.9" of additional clearance between the tire side wall and any part of the frame or wheel well the tire may hit.
