Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Today were going to review part number AM20258. This is the Americana 13 inch by 5 inch aluminum series 04 star trailer wheel. It has the 5 on 4 inch bolt pattern. Its silver in color. This wheel is a durable, corrosion resistant aluminum construction. It has a very nice shine, attractive five spoke star pattern to it.
This is a high quality wheel that will meet the Department of Transportations specifications. The rim dimensions on this wheel is 13 inches in diameter by 5 inches in width. If you go to measure that measurement on the wheel basically youre going to measure bead seat to bead seat, which is inside to inside. Basically when a tire is mounted on this wheel the tire beads would seat right here, so you measure inside to inside to get the diameter. You can see its 13 inches for the diameter.
The width of wheel, again bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside, and that will get you your five inch wide. So basically 13 inches diameter, 5 inches of width. The bolt pattern on this is a five lug, 4 inch bolt pattern. If you want to measure the bolt pattern the way you would do that on a wheel that an odd number of lugs, in this case it would be five, you just pick any lug hole and then you would measure from that starting lug hole directly across to the hole right across from it. You can choose either one.
When you measure it its from the center of the starting hole to the outer edge of the hole you measure to. Im going to measure this hole to this hole. If I go center to the outer edge you can see its right at 4 inches, so five lug, 4 inch bolt pattern.This does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. The pilot hub diameter, this is the large hole here in the center of the wheel that goes over the hub on your trailer, the diameter of that is going to be 3.19 inches, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,660 pounds.That should do it for review on part number AM202588, the Americana 13 inch by 5 inch aluminum series 04 star trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 inch bolt pattern. .
