Question:
Hi. I have a 1995 Jayco Jay series J-1207KB with original Dexter Torflex 9 axle 2,000lbs that needs to be replaced. I wanted to know if I when replaced I could add a second 9 for a tandem set up?

Hello Ryan, that is an interesting question. Technically it is possible for you to add a second axle to your 1995 Jayco Jay series J-1207KB pop up camper. Looking at pictures of this camper though, a decent amount of modification will be required in order to do this.
It looks like this camper has fenders built into the side of the trailer. So adding a second axle would mean relocating the first axle, and modification of the fender area. Depending on what kind of space if under the trailer, you may need to add a lift to the axles as well.
Adding a second axle would not necessarily increase the carrying capacity of the trailer either. It may make the ride a bit more stable, but you would be devoting a lot of time, money and energy for little benefit.
