Question:

I currently have a set 3500lb axels with 4” drop spindles they are 5 lug pattern not sure the diameter there are 15” rims now. I really want to go with independent suspension and keep a low overall profile and lightweight. Frame is from a 35’ camper that is striped to frame and will be using about 15’ to 18’ trailer with 4’ tongue

If you already have the axles installed then I would need to know the size of your hub as well as the bolt pattern on your hub as well to make a recommendation. I have attached a helpful article on bolt patterns for you to reference. If you don't know the diameter of your hub just let me know what the weight capacity is and I should be able to help you from there.

It sounds like you are looking more into just changing out your current axles than getting new tire/wheel combos, but I can certainly help you with both! We have 2 different Timbren Axle-Less Suspension systems that you will be interested in. Both are rated for 3,500 lbs and come with a 4" drop. Part # A35RD545 comes with your standard idler hub while part # A35RD545E comes with a hub and drum assembly for electric brakes. The bolt pattern for each hub is 5 on 4-1/2" which you will want to compare (see attached article) with your current wheels to see if they are compatible. The smallest tire/wheel combo we have to offer that has a weight rating over the 3,500 lbs of your axle is the Kenda Karrier # AM32161 which comes with a white wheel that has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. This comes in a load range of D (2,200 lbs at 75 psi) and has an 81 mph max speed rating. The overall width is 8.1" and it has a 26.3" outer diameter.
