Recommended Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w/ Braking Hubs and a 5 on 4-1/2 Lug Nut Pattern

Hello, I’m building a camper trailer on an old 2000lb axle/leaf springs trailer. The axle width is 62” w/ 5x4 1/2 hubs and has no brakes or mounting plate for brakes. I am interested in electric brakes/parking brakes for the trailer. Do you sell a complete axle assembly that I could swap out or only individual components? If only components what would be the best options for parts? Thank you

Hey Todd. The only complete axle assemblies we have that would work with your trailer are the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension w Electric Brakes No Drop - item # A35RS545E or the Timbren with a 4" Drop item # A35RD545E. Both these axleless systems will attach directly to your trailer's frame. They include brake assemblies and braking hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2 lug nut pattern.
We don't have a 62" wide traditional axle that short you can add brakes to.
To add brakes to your axle. You'll need a brake flange welded onto both sides that matches the diameter of your axle. A set of left and right brake assemblies and two braking hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2" lug pattern.
In order to recommend the correct parts, I'll need to know the diameter of your axle and the size of the bearings inside of one of your hubs.

Hey Todd, what did you end up doing for your camper trailer—did one of the Timbren axle-less suspension systems work out for your setup? Once you had it mounted, how did the electric brakes perform? Your update could make it easier for others building similar trailers.
