Smoother Ride Over Bumpy Roads: Rubber Equalizers Absorb Shock

Rough pavement and uneven terrain can make towing feel harsh. These MORryde 10" shock-absorbing equalizers use built-in rubber inserts to soak up road shock and vibration before it reaches your trailer frame. With up to 3" of suspension travel, they let the axles move independently so bumps and dips are handled smoothly. That travel keeps the ride steadier, helps protect the trailer’s contents, and cuts down on the bounce and sway that wear you out over long miles.

Less Frame Stress and Chucking: Up to 3" of Suspension Travel

Constant jolts can put unnecessary stress on your trailer frame and cause that back-and-forth jerking known as chucking. These equalizers are built to manage it with up to 3" of vertical movement and tough rubber dampers. The inserts flex as you roll over dips or potholes, reducing the shock that transfers through the suspension. The result is less strain on the frame and smoother towing for everything inside.

Direct Bolt-On Upgrade: Fits Tandem Axles with 42" Wheelbase

Swapping out old steel equalizers is simple. The MORryde units bolt right in place on tandem-axle setups with a 42" wheelbase and double-eye leaf springs. Each equalizer measures 10" between outer shackle bolt holes, 5" from hanger bolt to outer shackle hole, and 3-1/8" tall with 9/16" bolt holes. They’re rated for up to 8,000 lbs of axle capacity, so they’re ready for heavy-duty use without extra modifications.

Built for the Long Haul: Durable Design with Easy Maintenance

Rubber components handle the road’s worst while cutting down on upkeep. These equalizers need less maintenance than air-bag systems, and their solid construction keeps the suspension working smoothly mile after mile. For a complete system, pair them with MORryde’s suspension upgrade kit (sold separately) for greasable bolts and bronze bushings that last.

Reliable Performance, Ride After Ride: Quantity and Warranty

Each kit includes two equalizers to upgrade both sides of your tandem axle. They’re backed by a 2-year or 45,000-mile warranty, so you can tow with confidence knowing your suspension is designed to keep working long after the first trip.

The reason I decided to upgrade to the MORyde system is because the previous owner had a catastrophic failure after 1 year. One of the axle springs and axles collapsed and destroyed the suspension. The tires dug into the exterior of the floor and penetrated the fabric and styrofoam insulation. I used Henrys to seal up the styrofoam and covered the area with a piece of plywood and drilled a hole in it and shot it with expanding foam. Then I painted it and it looks like a pro.

Finally had the opportunity to install the springs, equalizers and wet bolt kit. Installation was routine, and nothing over the top. Having two jacks helps a lot, and making sure that your trailer is safely raised is a must. I used four jacks and two floor jacks and one hydraulic jack to secure my trailer. Once the trailer was raised and secure I removed the tires and began to take everything apart. I worked bolt to bolt and it took 90 minutes to complete the first side and 45 minutes to complete the second side. Once it was installed and torqued I lubed it up. Then I connected the truck and took it for a test drive. As I pulled away my wife called me and said, "I was so quiet." No creaking and crackeling. I took it for a short 5 mile ride and it was super smooth. When I got home I did a quick visual inspection and retorqued the bolts. Everything stayed in place and everything was still torqued to specs. Another thing I noticed was the wheels/tires no longer sat inside the fenders. They had about another 1.5 to 2.0 inches of clearance.

All in all I'd do this again without hesitation. This is going to give me the confidence to take longer trips, and not worry about every little noise I hear as I move on down the road.

E Trailer helped me make the right choice. Best $500 I’ve spent on this box.

The Morryde ten inch shock absorbing equalizer was one the best upgrade you can make on your trailer

by:

Easy installation. Hardest part was removing the old bolts that were frozen in there. Grinder with a cutting wheel worked the best.

It has made a huge difference in stability and control of the trailer. The MORryde with the Sumo springs on the top of the leaf perch is perfect. Way less up and down movement and the trailer just tracks perfect because of it. That should be standard on trailers of this size. Which is a 2018 Keystone premier 26RBFB. Gross trailer wt of 7500lbs.

Read a lot of review and settled on the MORryde. I already had the wet bolts so nice to complete the upgrade.
Installed while staying at a friend in SC and now back home in Nova Scotia, Canada. I actually can feel the handling improvement!!! Nice. MUCH smoother ride without a doubt. Very pleased with the unit.
Fairly easy to install once you figured out how to safely raise the camper :)
Only one issue after the assembling was done. We could not push grease through 2 bolts on one side... Even with a Milwaukee powered grease gun. It stalled! I assumed because of a tight fitting between bolt and bushing. Plenty of grease was used during assembly, so I felt confident to drive it back home... A bit of wear will open up the gap to be able to regrease with my hand gun from now on... I hope.
Very happy with the built (made in USA) quality.

by:

Great upgrade. Smoothed out my trailer ride and reduces bounce. Install requires a number of jack stands and lifts. Best if you can lift and the whole trailer at once and have floor jacks for the axles. We also made some specialty tools for punching out the old plastic bushing and pressing in the new brass of the wet bolt kit. 2 guys, 4 1/2 hrs with time to turn the new tools on the lathe.

Still loving my upgraded suspension. Just crawled under and greased all the new wet bolts. Totally lost my squeaky creaking trailer noises as you pull through a campground and the ride is butter. Dont hesitate to do this if you have stock leafs.

by:

The installation was difficult. Do it yourself people like me sometimes overthink their own ability. I did get it right eventually. A second pair of hands was helpful. The system works well and there is less axle hop. I think adding shocks would further enhance the ride.

by:

I had these installed on our seven year old camper along with the wet bolt and shackle upgrade. What a difference in towing, as well as no worries about a shackle breaking. The jarring from the road bumps is muted, the suspension does not squeak like it did with the old nylon bushings, and the bolts are easy to lube. Money well spent!

by:

I used the longer shackle bolts and added the extra shackles. I know they make a thicker shackle, but I was on a time crunch and was able the get the thinner ones locally. Easy to install and should last and wear better that stock.

That's a pretty good idea, David. I think this may fall into the saying of "when life gives you lemons". How does it ride so far?

by:

Trailer RV suspension for the most part are inadequate. The MORryde system was one upgrade I did along with more leafs, wet bolt, bronze bushings and re-inforced mounts. I recommend the MORryde as an upgrade.

You'll need to measure the horizontal distance between the shackle strap bolt holes and the vertical distance from the hanger bolt hole down to the center of the shackle strap bolt holes.
