Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Peterson Round Red LED Side Marker and Clearance Light with a grommet and male bullet connectors. Now this is a one and 1/16 inch diameter LED light that can be both a side marker and a clearance light. It is a PC-rated light, so it is equally visible from the front and the side. Uses one red LED with a red lens over it. It's more efficient and durable than the incandescent bulbs.
Now if you notice it includes the built-in grommet. That's because it is a recess mount light. It is designed to fit into a three inch or 3/4 inch diameter hole. We mentioned the bullet connectors on the plug here. This will plug into your trailer's matching connectors.
The leads on are about eight inches long. The slide is DOT, Department of Transportation compliant. Overall dimensions when we include the grommet is one and 1/16 inch diameter. Length from the front to the back of the light is 7/8 of an inch. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.
Now I do wanna hook this up to some power, 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is. And once we get the bullet connectors hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn our power on. And you can see there's your red LED that lights up. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights just to give you an idea how bright it is. It's very bright for one LED.
Even if we zoom out, you can still see how bright it is. Go ahead and turn back on our lights, turn off our power. I was really surprised by these. I used them on my 99 F250. There was already holes in the side of the bumper from the previous owner. I don’t like that the turn signal uses the red taillight lens. So I put a couple of these in the existing holes and they work amazing. They are bright enough that they light up the curb at night when I’m parallel parking I little bit. I am going to get more of these for sure.
Perfect lights for what I needed. Fit perfect in the dovetail of my trailer. And live that they are brake/turn signals instead of just a running light.

I seen the package was delivered. I have not been home to open it, but I can tell you when you see stuff ordered on Monday and delivered on Friday. You gotta know they are on the ball and literally talk to somebody on the other end is a big plus.
1 year later. These are still super bright and the lense is still clear. I added these in the corner of the bumper on my f250 because the stock brake light only has red lenses. Makes my turn signal way more visible.
