This 3/4" round GloLight Uni-Lite puts out a bright, solid red glow that’s easy to see and uses very little power. The two white LEDs behind the red lens draw only 0.052 amps at 12.8 volts, so you get strong light output without stressing your wiring or draining your system. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer than old incandescent bulbs and never need replacing. It’s a clean, even light that looks great and stays reliable year after year.

Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the GloLite Uni-lite Mini LED clearance or side marker light. This is a three quarter inch diameter by seven-eighths inch round trailer light that can function as both a clearance light or a side marker light, depending on how you have it installed. It can work as both simultaneously if you have it installed properly, and that is because it is PC-rated, which means you'll be able to see it head-on like so, or from a 90 degree angle to give you a total 180 degrees of visibility.This is a sealed waterproof construction, so it is submersible. So, if you want to put it on your boat trailers, they'll do just fine there.
This is a red acrylic lens over top two white LEDs. It also has a durable polycarbonate housing, so it is going to last you a nice long time. With LEDs, if you're not familiar, they are a great option. They do last longer than your older style incandescent lights because they don't have the brittle filament inside that tends to break on the incandescence, so they are going to last about 50 times longer than your incandescent lights do. This one does have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs, so they are going to last you a nice long time.
Plus, they're more efficient, so you're going to get a brighter light with less power draw. So, LED is a great way to go.This does feature an LED circuit board that is constructed using the surface mount technology, so it's going to be very durable. It's going to help better withstand shock, moisture, and vibration, so it's going to hold up really well on your trailers, especially if you're taking them off road, something like that, they'll hold up well, do a good job for you. This is going to allow us to have this recessed mounted, so that you just have to drill a three-quarter inch hole and then slide this in. And then, it will sit there on our trailer like so. So, it'll just stick out a little bit. This does have a two wire pigtail to it, so you've got your white ground and your black power supply. Does have the 0.156 female bullet connectors to get this plugged in, so it'll plug right in to your two male bullet connectors to get right going to your trailer.This is Department of Transportation compliant, so it's going to meet all those standards, allow you to pull your trailer safely and legally.
And I think, overall, this is going to be a great option for you. I like small marker lights. Easily seen without being overwhelmingly bright which can cause glare. I've had great experience with the quality of Optronics; with less expensive brands not so much.
Don't let the small size fool you, these little lights are pretty bright. You need to be spot on with the diameter of hole you drill that these lights recess into.
I selected these lights because of the way the light appears to glow from the entire pod rather than the individual lights of the LED chips in the other pods. They produce a nice glow pattern that is more pleasing to the eye rather than seeing the small light of the individual LED chips. I like the fact that they are sealed units and thereby resistant to the elements. I previously bought dual-chip light pods and had one chip in a couple of pods burn out, so I am trying these pods instead.
I would give this product a 5-star rating but unfortunately, I have had a number of these lights burn out and they are in difficult-to-access locations which makes them a hassle replacing them when they burn out. Even though they are lifetime-guaranteed by Optronics that doesn't do anything for the annoyance factor when you see one burned out and replace it, only to have another one burn out shortly thereafter. I originally bought these lights because they guarantted for life AND were very bright, even in daytime. It seems that the older version of these lights were more dependable than what they are producing now. My suggestion is that you don't hardwire them into an application-install them using individual plugs so WHEN IT BECOMES NECESSARY to replace them you will not have to keep cutting and splicing your harness each time. Other than that, they are good lights.
Great mini marker lights and sealed perfect so they don't corrode out in six months
I installed GloLight Mini LED clearance lights on a flatbed I fabricated for an older GMC K3500, truck. The lights continue to function as they should. I am happy with my purchase.
What I like about these are that the wires are nice and heavy gauge. It feels very well made and I'm confident it will withstand the abuse of my Baja. I use these as marker lights and turn signals. They are really bright and no issues seeing them during the day.

The barrels on the red lights were too long. We had to cut a portion of the ends to make them fit. Other than that, they worked
