If you’re done dealing with dim or short-lived bulbs, this 4-1/16" x 2-1/8" rectangular LED light is an easy upgrade. When you want your trailer to be seen from both the front and side, this PC-rated light does exactly that. It produces a 90-degree beam to either side of its centerline, giving you a full 180 degrees of visibility. Properly mounted, it works as both a clearance and a side marker light, keeping your rig visible in traffic or low light.
No need to drill out big holes or cut into panels. This surface-mount design installs flat against your trailer using standard mounting hardware (not included). With 3" center-to-center mounting holes on the flange, it’s a straightforward fit that looks clean and stays secure once installed.
The lens and housing are made from durable polycarbonate that snaps together into one solid piece. That means it stands up well to vibration, dust, and weather without cracking or clouding. Speaker 1: Today we are taking a look at the Optronics Double Bulls-eye LED trailer clearance or side marker light. This LED trailer light functions as both a clearance light and side marker light when properly mounted. It features a unique double bulls-eye design and it is an LED system. LED's make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, they're more efficient. With LED's you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments.This unit contains a real nice durable polycarbonate snap on lens so it can be replaced if ever needed.
And it has a white housing. It is a surface mount installation. We have two mount holes right here. You gain access to those by removing the lens. You can simply take flat head screwdriver and just pop that lens directly off the housing.
Mounting hardware not included. It's a two wire design. White wire for ground, black wire for power. It's PC rated and SAE and Department of Transportation compliant.We're going to take a look at the measurements real quick and then we'll hook it up to power. Edge to edge going in this direction is about 4 and 1/16 inches.
Top to bottom is about 2 and 1/8 inches. And the overall depth is about 1 and 1/8 inches. The mount holes on the unit are separated on center by 3 inches.We're going to go and hook it up to power that we see it with power running to it and we will also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. It sends out a really nice bright, consistent signal. Here you can really get a good look at the double bulls-eye design of the unit.
It contains a total of 10 LED's or 10 diodes so the multi-diode design really helps optimize the overall light output. These have 5 LEDs on the top and 5 on the bottom -- or 5 on the right and 5 on the left, depending upon their orientation ;-) So a total of 10 LEDs.

Really like these light very much. Very reliable and a great improvement from the incandescent lights they replaced. I would recommend using a wired ground vs. ring terminals to frame for a lifetime of trouble free operation.
This marker light was extremely hard to find locally. Each supplier only had it in the red color and I needed the whole unit not just a replacement cover. I finally found this online at etrailer.com and it was worth the slightly extra cost because I had already wasted three different trips to stores trying to track it down. This was convenient and it was exactly what I needed and it was installed right away by my husband. This company made it very easy!
After trying in vain to revive the old incandescent marker lights on our 1991 Prowler trailer, we are delighted with these new LED ones. The old ones were so corroded that even new bulbs didn't help. The new LED ones are so much brighter and well sealed from the weather. And at a great price too!!! Thanks.
I hard wired the grounds on these lights (MCL46RB and MCL46AB) and the trailer owner has enjoyed very good results. The trailer is used in the Lake Erie snow (salt) belt and with attention to detail in wiring, the lights are reliable, pretty rugged, and are very visible from a wide range.
The only reason I gave 4 stars, some of the lights I received were LED and some incandescent by mistake. etrailer promptly sent out the correct marker lights. I finished wiring the trailer and they look great.
These could use better weather sealing - we go through one or two a year on trailers that are out for 100k miles per year. But they get the job done, and at a good price.
