When your trailer sees rain, spray, or even a full dunk at the boat ramp, this light takes it in stride. The 2-1/2" round Optronics light uses a sonically sealed housing and lens so it’s completely waterproof and submersible. That sealed design keeps moisture from getting inside and damaging the bulb or wiring, so you can trust it to stay lit after every launch or washdown.
Good lighting isn’t just about brightness—it’s about being seen from all sides. This light is PC rated, which means it shines a full 180 degrees—90 degrees to either side of its centerline. When it’s properly mounted, that wide beam makes it effective as both a clearance and side marker light. It helps your trailer stand out at night and in low-light conditions for safer towing.
No need to fight with custom connectors or wiring tricks. This light accepts the industry-standard 2-prong plug (A46PB or A86PB – sold separately), giving you a straightforward connection for power and ground on any 12V DC system. It’s also compatible with recessed mounting using a grommet or surface mounting with a bracket, depending on what your setup calls for.
Built with an ABS housing and snap-on red lens, this incandescent light is made to handle the bumps and vibration of regular road use. When the bulb eventually wears out, you can replace it easily without swapping the whole unit. It draws just 0.2 amps at 12.8V and comes backed by a 3-year warranty for extra peace of mind.

Today we are going to take a look at Optronics sealed 2-1/2 inch round trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MC55RB. The lens of this light is sealed and waterproofed against the housing and inside is a heavy-duty long life bulb. This light will require a mounting grommet and plug to complete the installation. Next we are going to hook up a power supply to the light so you can see how it looks. We will connect our ground wire to one of the contact points and our power wire to the other. Next we will turn off our overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Optronics sealed 2-1/2 inch round trailer clearance and side marker light, part number MC55RB.

Hey Kevin, I'm sorry that this light wasn't what you were looking for. I checked with Optronics and they don't have the lens available separately. Mainly because it's submersible, if the lens was removable it wouldn't be properly sealed to handle being submersed in water.
