When you’re carrying serious loads, you need hub and drum assemblies that match the job. This Dexter hub-and-drum assembly is rated for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb axles and works with both electric and hydraulic drum brakes. Its sturdy iron construction provides the solid braking surface your shoes need for dependable stopping power.

Complete Setup for a Smooth Install: Bearings, Seal, Cap, and Hardware Included

Everything you need for a full hub replacement comes right in the box—inner bearing (25580) and race, outer bearing (14125A) and race, grease seal GS-2125DL, grease cap, wheel bolts, and lug nuts. With all the parts matched and ready to go, you can swap out your old hubs and get back on the road without hunting down extra hardware.

Precision Fit for Reliable Performance: Designed for 12" x 2" Brakes

The drum measures 12" in diameter and 2" wide, giving perfect contact with standard 12" brake assemblies. With inner bearing diameter of 1.75" and outer bearing diameter of 1.25", it matches the proven Dexter #42 spindle design for consistent alignment and balance.

Built to Last: Durable Construction and Proven Dexter Quality

Dexter’s iron hubs and drums are known for their strength and long service life. Whether you’re pulling heavy or just keeping a reliable spare on hand, this setup holds up to repeated use and hard mileage without letting you down. Each component comes ready to handle the stress and heat of braking under load, so you can tow with confidence every trip.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Promptly shipped and received. Minor problem, the bearings, nuts, dust cover and seal were all just thrown loose in the box with the hub resulting in the seal being bent and unuseable. No big deal. Otherwise great service.

Most mobile home axles are built with an odd sized spindle that do not have any available hubs with a traditional trailer wheel bolt pattern. The only want to be sure is to either get the bearing numbers off the old bearings or to measure the spindle diameters with a dial or digital caliper, at least to the 1/100th. Bearing numbers is by far the easiest. Check out the link to the spindle below. There is a diagram that shows the measurements that you will need to take in order to positively determine whether or not a hub is available.
