Jeff: Hello, everybody. This Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at these 18 inch long, 12 volt warm white LED replacement bulbs for the T8 fluorescent lights. And it is for a quantity of two bulbs.Now these are LED tube lights. Has 66 diodes that'll upgrade or replace your T8 fluorescent light bulbs. These will provide a nice warm white light for RV, marine and automotive interior applications.
They are great for overhead, under cabinet and high bay fixture applications.Now this part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the two LED tube lights with the plug-in connectors, an 18 inch long wiring harness, a white ground wire, and then two wire nuts. Now at the end of this video, I am going to plug this into some 12 volt power just to show you how bright they are and how they operate.Now, this is a directional design. They provide 180 degree beam angle or focus lighting. They do use high output LEDs, so they make great replacement for your fluorescent lights.
They are rated for up to 50,000 hours. They're more efficient, provide brighter light, with less power output. And of course, no bulbs to replace or ballast malfunctions.It is compatible with dimmable fixtures for a nice, simple adjustment of the brightness and the light. They do offer built-in surge protection to safeguard internal electronics. And they are a non-polarized design for easy installation.
No wiring changes are needed. Basically, you can use either wire, it can be used for either function, power or ground. The wiring harness, you can see has a black and red wire. But when you do connect them, it doesn't matter which one's power, which one's ground. I'm going to show you that when I hook them up.
You can use either one.Few specs on this. The quantity again, is for two LED tube lights. They do replace the bulb type of T8 design. The length on these tubes. And I'm going to measure from the tip to the tip, including the connectors. So we're right about 18 inches long.The light type is warm white. Light temperature is 3,500 kelvin. The light output is 800 lumens. We mentioned 66 diodes. Wattage is 4.3 watts and the power draw at 12 volts is 0.365 amps. And the wattage equivalent is here designed to replace up to a 40 watt incandescent bulb.So what I'm going to do now is we'll plug in our power wire, power harness, and then we'll plug it into some 12 volt power. So, all you got to do is line these two pin plugs up, one there. Take this one, oops. And same way, line it up, plug it in. Now that we've got our wiring harness connected, just going to hook these up to some 12 volt power. And again, as I mentioned, there's a black and a red, but it really doesn't matter. You can hook it up to either one. So I'll go ahead and hook the red up there.Oops. I'll go ahead and hook this one up. Okay. Now that we got them both hooked up, what I'm going to do is go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power. You can see with our 12 volt power on there's a bright light. This one is turned around and it's a very bright light also. To give you a better idea, I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light. And there, you can see how bright these LED bulbs are. Very bright, lights up this whole room with all the overhead lights off.And as I mentioned, you can see there's the 180 degree beam angle, gives you focus lighting. It is a nice warm white light. So we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Go ahead and turn off our 12 volt power. But that should do it for the review on these 18 inch long, 12 volt warm white LED replacement bulbs for the T8 fluorescent lights.

Built-in surge protection.I ordered one set so I could try the led lighting actually in my alfa and view the difference between the new led and the original standard flourisent. The warm white 3500k really comes close to the original. I don't want to change the look of the original nature of the room. Happy camper. I have reordered two more sets. Also one more thing, the amp draw of 0.365 & only 4.3 watts per set is just amazing. I can now run these lights when shore power is in an outage. Thank goodness & ETRAILER & DIAMOND VALTERRA

Works as advertised. Good light output, more than florescent. Somewhat harder to install than a larger fixture and an old man doing the installation.

I give this product and etrailer 5 stars. These lights are so much better from the fluorescents in my coach. We upgraded the entire RV and it's way better. HOWEVER, the instructions for this product SUCK! They appear to have been drawn by a 5 year old with crayons. The script and explanations are overly complicated. If you are not very electrically inclined, have an electrician help, or watch the video. I had a very hard time comprehending the instructions provided.
I just got done installinge LED 3 set of 2 in the overhead of the living room of in my RV. They work fine and produse the light that I hoped to get. There was no problem in installing them, the instruction are very good for most people to install. The one problem that I did have is being able to read the instruction, the print is very small -- SO what I did as I took them to my computer and scan them the inlarge them them printed them on a 8X10 pice of paper. But I am also a electrican of 50 + years and had no problem. Just rember to cut the power befor you start then cut the two wires that feed power to the light and splice them to the jumper wires that is supplied. Put it all back together and you are done. I will have to order others at different sizes to complet changes all my lights to LED's in my RV.
Instructions where accurate, bulbs fit properly & light output is just a little brighter but still soft white. Some work involved in wiring the bulbs, with the ground wire needing to be cut for my application. Hardest part was routing the wires under the center ballast cover. Overall, exactly what I was looking for: a replacement for fluorescent tubes that output the same color & intensity.
Tried one set of these at first to see how well they would work out. Liked them & ordered three more sets. The three sets went into fixtures that also had a separate wall switch, but that didn't change the wiring process. The new lights are a little brighter than the fluorescent bulbs they replaced, but are a comfortable soft-white shade. overall, I'm very satisfied both with etrailer's service and the replacement lights.

Haven’t Had a chance to install them yet, will do that next week, it will allow me to do away with the rest of the ballasts on the florescent light fixtures in my rv, they get pretty warm against the ceiling,
