Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating (less than 1 mil) and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so it's recommended that they be primed and painted.

Good quality fender- pregalvanized so has some stress where the edges get bent over, but the galvanizing is still great there. Fitting them to the trailer was less than 10 min a side!

Product quality is just what is expected very good. The appearance is professional and the price is in line. I am retired and refurbish and build utility trailers when time allows. I have been fabricatnding fenders , which I think take too much time and do not represent the quality and appearance I like to present to potential buyers. I normally post my finished product on the internet when finished. .
I order a pair of CE Smith fenders from etrailer.com . Fast delivery, fenders was in great shape! It will be awhile before l install them, there not going on no trailer, they will be installed on my 1939 Chevy coupe! Thanks again on fast delivery an great prodcuct! The CE Smith Sigle Axle Trailer fender was the perfect fit for the boat trailer. Already mounted, painted and been in the water.
A blown tire took out a fender on my Stirling galvanized trailer, ordered this as a replacement. Turned out to be way better than expected; a near perfect fit, looks better, and feels more durable the the stock fender.

I was looking to replace the fenders on my boat trailer, the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender, the Pre-Galvanized Steel model was exactly what I needed to complete the job. The fender comes without pre drilled holes so it was simple to install, because it enabled me to use the old fender as a pattern, lined everything up, drilled my on holes and the new fenders looked like they were factory installed. The product details, concerning measurements, were very helpful in choosing the fenders.

I had to jury rig them as I was upgrading from 8”wheels, but it was no big deal with a couple of galvanized plates from HD and a good sturdy drill bit. They’re were as advertised and still working great z year later. Thank you etrailer!
These were perfect for the 13" rim and tires that I ordered. Note that fenders are galvanized, so you will need to use an etching primer it you want to paint them so it will bond.
the fenders are perfect after on year. The reason I replaced the original ones was because somebody crashed into my trailer, and bent the left fender up. The trailer was a galvanized finish. And when I restored the trailer, I touched it up with galvanize paint, but when it dried it looked like primer. So I went ahead and painted it black. I used metal etching primer after grinding the trailer clean with a wire wheel. Then I painted it black with rustoleum, out a spray gun. Instead of returning the fenders I bought that were galvanized, I treated those the same way as the trailer. I scuffed them up with sandpaper, sprayed a metal edging primer on it, and then sprayed those with appliance epoxy paint. The whole trailer still looks fabulous including the fenders.
These were the perfect upgrade for my small boat trailer. I went from 12" to 13" galvanized wheels with higher load and speed ratings (from etrailer) and the existing fenders were too small. I ordered some plastic universal fenders from Amazon and the brackets needed drilling, the fenders were warped, and the bolts and washers were too small for the pre-drilled holes. The pre-galvanized fenders from etrailer allowed me to use the existing EZ-Loader brackets and hardware, I could drill them where I needed to, they are very sturdy and look great. So glad I went this direction!
