This vent makes a big difference when it comes to airflow. The built-in 12-volt DC fan moves 100 CFM to pull out hot or stale air and keep things feeling comfortable inside. It gives you much better circulation than a non-powered vent, even while the trailer or RV stays locked and secure.
Forget reaching up to lift or lower the lid by hand. The built-in power lift motor opens and closes the vent cover for you and powers in and out so you can set it where you want. Operation is handled from the included wall-mounted switch, making it easy to control everything from one spot.

The smoke-colored, wedge-shaped dome is made of durable polypropylene that stands up to sun and weather. It’s translucent, so it still lets in some natural light without leaving the interior exposed. The aerodynamic shape also helps reduce drag and noise when you’re on the move.

If you’re replacing an older vent, this one fits right into a standard 14-1/4" × 14-1/4" roof opening. The galvanized steel roof flange resists rust and corrosion, and the polar white interior garnish (2-1/8" leg depth) gives it a clean, finished look inside. Wiring is straightforward 12-volt DC, and the snap-out screen makes cleaning quick and easy.

Hey John. When are you taking the camper out on the road again? Hopefully you will always have blue skies but I'm sure the vent will keep everything dry :)

This review is post-install vs 1 year as I couldnt find how to just edit my original review. The screen clip system is really poor. The screen frame is a very light, flexible plastic and just barely is held in by the clip pegs. I expect this to fail and I will likely need to figure out a better way to hold that screen in place. Should be a 3-star rating. I also never checked to see if replacement screens are available.

I have yet to take the rig out for any substantial use since installing the vents. Their initial operation seemed good. Ill need to use the vents in adverse weather rain to really evaluate.

It’s been a year and the vent continues to work like new. Keeping the screen clean is relatively easy. There is a type of plastic, or nylon gasket that the hatch closes onto and its flexing, but I don’t notice any issues yet due to that. Hopefully it’s possible to just replace that gasket here in the future. Thank you.

How far above the roof does it protrude?

Tim, do you mean the distance from the roof to the top of the lid when closed, or when fully open? When closed it cant be more than a couple of inches. I dont know what it is fully open - maybe 12 inches?Unfortunately the trailer is in Wyoming and I am in Denver right now, so I cant measure it.Paul

After one year in the Wyoming weather the vent has performed very well: no water leakage and no dust entry. Hail storms were not able to dent the vent lid even though they were severe enough to dent the aluminum trailer roof somewhat. I am pleased with the results. Paul

So far so good. I have not used it as much as I had anticipated. But it works for me when I do.
