Is There a Way To Add a Wall Controller To An Existing Vent Fan
Updated 03/10/2021 | Published 03/06/2021 >
Question:
I have a manual crank up bathroom vent with a vent fan that is original equipment in our 2014 Forest River 27RLS Wildcat Max travel trailer. My wife is too short to reach the crank handle and I want to add a motorized dome lift to the original vent. I am looking at your item: “BVB0601-00 replacement gear motor with pinion gear for vent line vent a dome vent”. Will that fit onto my vent if I can run the wiring down inside the wall next to the original fan motor switch? If so, is there anything else I might have to purchase to get this gear motor set to fit onto my vent?

I do have an option for you but retrofitting an old unit to work with a wall mounted control won't be an option. Instead, I recommend the Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent part # V2119-3-533 which will be an easy swap and it comes with a wall mounted controller.
