Adjustable-height coupler mounts in a channel bracket (sold separately) with the included Grade 8 hardware. The pin-style latching mechanism holds the collar in place around the base of the ball socket. Black powder coat finish is rust resistant.

Good coupler, it does the job. My only viable complaint is the weight limit of 7,000#. What would one expect for a 2" ball? Also, make sure the couple is locked in place once you seat the trailer on the hitch. I had my trailer jump off the ball once. That was purely my fault. I didn't secure the sleeve. Overall, I'd recommend it

After over ten years of use our old one was bent and beaten so bad it wasn’t functional, I searched all over for a reasonably priced replacement and finally found it on e trailer. This thing was so easy to switch out it took me less than ten mins to take the old one off and put the new one on. After a year of using it still works like it’s brand new.
Have bought 40 of these bad boys and zero issues has risen with the amount of abuse our customers use these that we put on our trailers for rentals. Usually I say quality over quantity, but in this case you get both. You will love them if for personal use.
This couple fits in place of the pintle coupler that is supplied with the portable air compressor perfectly. My only issue is with the lock pin retaining chain. The chain is cheaply built and allows the pin to come loose from the assembly very easily. I would recommend to potential purchasers of this unit to find another means of attaching the retaining pins to the coupler.
The mounting channel on my trailer was actually 2-7/8" inside. I was worried this wouldn't fit because the Bulldog hitches on etrailer specify that they are for a 2-7/8" channel, but this hitch says it fits a 3" channel. I guess it's a nominal measurement. It fit great and came with grade 8 bolts and locking nuts, plus zinc-plated fender washers. I've used Bulldog brand hitches for many years for a rental equipment fleet that I maintain, and I am happy to report that these are just as good as the other more expensive hitches. I prefer this style latching mechanism. I believe this is the safest hitch because they are easily identified visually as latched or unlatched. I will be buying them again for more of my rental equipment!

Sleeve lock coupler, I was told was superior to std. ball hitch for off road, I thought it would rotate at round sleeve, but no. Coupler does not allow more angle than std. hitch, and can pinch fingers, more difficult to use.
