Installation of Sleeve-Lock Trailer Coupler

Question:

What is the installation torque spec of the two bolts for cta-196 sleeve lock 2” coupler? I’ve seen 159-212 ft-lb for other couplers. Is this the same?

Hey David! The mounting bolts on the Sleeve-Lock Trailer Coupler # CTA-196 should be torqued to 100–110 ft-lbs according to the installation instructions. This is lower than the 159–212 ft-lbs you've seen listed for other couplers. The # CTA-196 includes two 5/8" Grade 8 mounting bolts and locknuts. I've attached a picture from the installation instructions below so you can reference it as well.
