The 8" adjustable channel on this actuator makes it easy to line things up just right. It has three mounting positions so you can set your coupler at the height that keeps your trailer level. The channel-down setup also gives you more drop than a standard center mount, which is especially handy for taller trailers. You can use a ball coupler, lunette ring, or clevis attachment (sold separately) and still get the right height every time.
The master cylinder is built from glass-reinforced nylon that won’t rust or corrode like metal. Inside, an automotive-style diaphragm cap seals the system to help keep out dirt and moisture. The large reservoir means more brake fluid capacity, so you’re less likely to run dry when you’re braking hard or towing heavy. Every time the actuator compresses, it applies smooth and consistent hydraulic pressure to your drum brakes for dependable stopping power.
The heavy-duty steel body is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, so it’s ready for marine use and wet conditions. With a 500-hour salt spray rating, the finish stands up well to road grime and saltwater. The acetal copolymer lining inside helps the moving parts slide smoothly as the actuator telescopes in and out, so it keeps working cleanly even after long exposure to moisture and grit.
A built-in breakaway setup adds an extra layer of protection if your trailer ever disconnects while towing. When pulled, the lever automatically applies the brakes to bring the trailer to a stop. If you ever need to reset it, you can do it quickly by lifting upward on the front of the flat emergency lever spring and pulling the lever forward until it releases — simple and mechanical with no electronics to mess with.
This actuator bolts directly onto a straight 3" wide trailer tongue using 1/2" x 4-1/2" Grade-5 bolts (not included). The clean bolt-on design cuts out welding or guesswork during setup. With an 8,000 lb gross towing weight and 800 lb maximum tongue weight rating, it’s built strong enough for multi-axle trailers that need reliable surge braking without complicated wiring or add-ons.

To be environmentally friendly we do not have paper pack lists in our orders. Our pack lists are stickers on the outside of the box.
