Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement breakaway switch for your demco brake actuator. So a lot of times this is an easy part to kind of snap off, If you forget to unhook your breakaway switch from your truck, whenever you're done towing its pretty easy thing to break. So this is going to be a direct replacement from demco to get that replaced and get you back to functional with your brake actuator. So you can see that we'll have all our parts here, the only thing that it doesn't come with is the hardware to mount the plate in place of that two plate designs ,that's kind of what provides the tension for our pivot lever. That's going to slide in here and then go into the brake actuator to kind of flip the switch and provide us with that brake function in the event of an accidental disconnect.We also get the hardware to attach this to the lever. So we'll get our bolt and lock nut, and then of course our safety pin or our safety hook here so just attach this to your towed vehicle and it takes you down the road.
The cable measures 41 inches long, this fits several different models of the demco brake actuator, that's going to be the DA10, the DA20 and the DA91. They are still working good. The only problem is our guys continue to drive off with out disconnecting the brake away cable. The replacement part kit is the perfect replacement.
