Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement Retractor Spring for your Dexter 12 and a quarter inch Electric Brakes. Now this part here replaces the retractor spring that's on the Dexter electric brakes. It does work on the brake assemblies, the size 12 and a quarter inch by two and a half inch, 12 and a quarter inch by three and three eighths inch, 12 and a quarter inch by four inch, and 12 and a quarter inch by five inch. All those brake assemblies, we do sell separately on our website.
Basically, this retractor spring is what's connected to the brake shoes, and it allows the shoes to retract when the brakes are released. It is for a quantity of one replacement retractor spring. And just give you a few dimensions, if we measure the overall length from edge to edge, you can see it's gonna be right at seven and a quarter inches, overall length. Just the spring portion, you can see is right at three inches. But that's gonna do it for a look at this replacement Retractor Spring for your Dexter 12 and a quarter inch Electric Brakes.

The product itself was fine, sturdy, and all around well made. It just did not suit my needs nor fit my application. It was too large and too stiff. The staff was great, they did their best with what little information they had. I can't fault them for that.

This spring is 12.25 inches and replaces the retractor spring for your Dexter Axle 12-14 x 2-12, 12-14 x 3-38, 12-14 x 4, or 12-14 x 5 electric brakes.
