Lighted guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and safer to transport it at night. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Check with your state Department of Transportation for restrictions regarding maximum trailer width.
When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 60" tall guideposts that are mounted at the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you two highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The built-in LED lights on the posts stand out at night, making it easier for you to load your boat in the dark and for other drivers to see your trailer when you're on the road. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between them correctly matches the width of your boat.
Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mm and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

Easy to install haven't used it while loading my boat yet but I'm confident it'll work great
I like them there just what I wanted. They make it much easier to load the boat and see where the back of the trailer is.
I bought these Guid-ons because when my boat was off the trailer the trailer was hard to see behind my pickup when backing. These were the cure for that and made lining the boat with the trailer when loading at the ramp easier when the rear of the trailer was submerged. My trailer has some flat plate welded to the frame from the fender to the rear of the trailer for a step that complicated installing the Guid-ons at rear of the trailer. I ended up drilling two holes on each side of the trailer in this flat plate for the Guide-ons "U" mounting bolts to go through. After drilling the two holes in the plate the provided hardware and instructions worked fine. It took me about an hour to install them and hook up the new marker lights.
I purchased the guide on trailer post with a light on top to be used on a lowe duck boat and Karajan trailer. The guide posts gives me the ability to see the sides and where the transom area of he boat and trailer when backing up in the dark into unimproved ramps. The lights on top make loading and unloading in the dark easier. Installation is easy, pulling existing wires out to tie into and heat seal to improve water tightness took a little extra time. I actually did not need all the height so I cut off about 10 inches and when trailering I can see in my rear view mirrors.
I put these on a 2005 Four Winns Funship 214, to replace the side bunks that are always under water when I load. They function as guides and for that purpose they are great. I have noted that they do flex some if I'm loading in a heavy current and because of that I have to adjust them often. The Four Winns Trailer has about a 1/2" margin of error on the outside bunks. I was really hoping these would be sturdy enough for me to keep them tight and hit the sweet spot on the trailer routinely. I'm seriously leaning to having the trailer modified this summer to give me a larger margin of error on the outside bunks.
As far as the product, delivery, and installation I could not be happier. I was trying to solve a complex problem with these and have realized that to do so will require other steps beyond these guide-ons.
I realized after I installed the guides that my tower bolts stuck out too far past the side of the boat to make the guides as effective as one would want. My solution is to cut the pvc pipe and install a pvc tee near the bottom of the side of the boat so I can extend pvc over to the side of the boat and cap it. I have not modified the uprights yet but I'm confident it will work.
Easy to install. My trailer does not have anywhere at the end to mount them so they are mounted in front of the axle. It does help with being able to see the trailer for backing. I have a rather tall F 350 with a toolbox and could not see the trailer out the back window at all.
Couldn't believe how fast the wheel for my boat trailer was delivered. It was exactly what I ordered and looked cleaner than the picture. The price was better than I could find anywhere else. I will certainly be ordering from them again.

Thank you for reaching back out to me as a customer and valuing my opinion. I would have to say that the product was exactly what I expected and it installed easily and has maintained its appearance very well over the past year. It still functions exactly as its supposed to and has been of great benefit to me while trailering my boat.
Great product .. easy install, and love the lighting at night. Makes getting my boat lined up and on the trailer easy. Fast order fulfillment and shipping. Thanks much eTrailer!!

Awesome!!! Still love it ... helps me guide the boat on the trailer, and love the LED lighting at the top. I have it hooked up to my braketurn signals ... helps with the visibility of the trailer. Would buy again.
I haven't installed the trailer guide-ons or the bearing buddies yet. I have looked at them and the guide-ons are heavy quality. I have bearing buddies on my other boat and I have been pleased with them. All in all your service and excellent help has been great. I will be buying more in the future.

CE Smith Guide-ons wok very well. Just what I needed. My Trailer bunks are completely submerged when loading the boat. The guide-ons solved the problem.
The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers - 60" Tall I ordered and received is as described and what I was expecting. Arrived when promised, good packaging, good installation instructions and all parts were in good condition.

Still happy with Post Guide w Lights. Just what I needed and looks good. Will buy again if I were to get another plain trailer.
These have worked very well. We needed the larger size in order to mount the trailer guides on our boat trailer.
Too flimsy for the pontoon boat. Can't barely touch it or they bend. I don't have any photos of the guides after it was bent. The very first time I put the boat on the trailer with the guides installed I approached very slow, as always, assuming the guides would assist a bit more than they did in squaring the boat for getting it on the trailer. I removed the bent one and straightened it. They do help guide the boat once the boat is squared up, but they are not ridged enough to help to square up the boat to drive it onto the trailer.

I reached out to the manufacturer who advised that part # CE27670 would be a better option as it is made for pontoon boats and it has pre-galvanized steel tubes are covered with 2 inch PVC piping for strength and durability.
Product is of good quality. IMO, running the wires outside the galvanized arms results in unprofessional look. It's a bit tricky, but running the wires inside the arms and drilling a small exit hole in the short section is much neater. The wires on my Karavan trailer were easily accessible under the at the cross bar (covered by a rubber cap); that's where I tapped into the brown wire. To protect the trailer finish from the U-bolts, I wrapped a piece of indoor-outdoor carpet around the frame and bolted the guides over the carpet. I'll try to get a photo of my install.

Still great one yr later. I used rubber gromets where wires come through brackets
Great item and easy to install at a good price. I might add fantastic customer service.
Great product, easy to install, and works well. I had to trim about 6 inches off the tubes, but that was easily done.
I love this product, it was easy to install and it comes so useful in windy days and places without a dock. Lights look awesome as well.
I usually have to guide my boat onto the trailer without assistance. These have made a huge difference, lining the boat up is a breeze. I just wish they had real tail lights at the top instead of running lights, oh, well. Do yourself a favor and watch the video then measure your trailer frame where you plan to mount them. If you need longer u-bolts or, like me, need mounting plates and bolts, you can order them at the same time.
CE smith guides with LED lights on top look great and are very helpful at night.
Great product! Super easy installation and bright LEDs.

After a year everything is still in working order expect for ground connection. Corroded and lost connection. Just needed to replace and worked just fine. White is still bright and no signs of fading. I dont keep up with it at all so its worst possible conditions and still trucking along. Would definitely recommend!
I had purchased the Fulton boat guides earlier from another firm but had to return them because the U-bolts wouldn't work on my boat trailer (Not enough clearance between the u-bolt end and the bottom of my boat and I couldn't find replacements. I have a 16' Smokercraft Osprey with a bunk type EZ-Load Trailer. I opted to buy the CE Smith 60" guide posts with lights from etrailer.com. It turned out to be a very good decision. Easy install, they fit and work great and they arrived sooner than promised. Thanks etrailer.com!
Service:
I ordered on a Sunday night. Received three emails that very evening. One from Customer Service, then George and finally one from Joseph confirming shipment. On Thursday the day of delivery, I received two emails informing me the item was due to be delivered that day and that it had been delivered to my door. Last, I received an email from Debie on Friday confirming receipt. WOW talk about customer service. You people are first class! I’ve been in customer service for the past 20 years and it doesn’t get much better than that.
Product:
Sturdy well-built product that provides a great look to my new 21ft Sea Hunt and Venture trailer. Can't wait to test it out when the weather warms up.
Tip:
Instead of running the light wires between the tubing and PVC guides you can start at the short end of the galvanized tubing with a finish nail and thin string. Drop the nail through until it comes out the top (long part) of the galvanized tube. Attach the string to the ground eyelet and second wire with masking tape and pull the wiring through while sliding the PVC guides over the tube as you pull. Gave it a great finished look (will only work if you position the U-bolts far back on the trailer as close as possible to the trailer lights).
Extremely pleased with the service and product - I will be back for my other trailer needs!
Thanks etrailer.com
Awesome and quick service. Very easy to install. I have a Rangertrail trailer. It took a little thinking because the trailer has running boards in front and behind the fender wells. No open c-channel. Marked 2 holes on top with bracket in place across c-channel underneath. Drilled 2 holes on each side. After that very easy. Followed video on YouTube. Thanks for a great product and great service. #CE27760

Still works great. Thanks
I just finished installing my new trailer guides. Excellent quality and design. I'm hitting the water tomorrow morning at a difficult to launch ramp. These should help greatly.

I love my trailer guides. Loading and unloading is a breeze. Its much safer to tow and load.
Love these guide-in’s! Makes backing the trailer and loading the boat much better. I feel safer pulling the rig with the post lights also.

just fine. I had tower bolts that required that I install a tee in the upright with a four inch extension in the tee with a cap and pad to help center the boat and miss the bolts while loading the boat. It works fine. Thanks
