Are the 48inch camo guide-on covers used on the 40inch posts?

I can help you figure out which Guide-On Covers are right for you.
Both camouflage covers fit on 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC post-style guide-ons, with or without LED lights, with a maximum outer diameter of post: 2-3/8 inches. It would just depend on how much of your post you would like to cover.
I recommend the 36 inch Camo Guide-On Covers # CE27902 for your 40 inch CE Smith Posts # CE27740 instead, because these are designed to be open-ended to allow the LED lights to show.
The 48 inch Camo Guide-On Covers # CE27903 are recommended for the 60 inch CE Smith Guide-On Posts # CE27760, but they will fit on and completely cover the 40 inch Guide-On Posts.
