Features to know about

Confident Driving in Snowy Conditions: Twist Links Grip When You Need It Most

These low-profile twist link chains give you solid traction in snow and light ice, perfect for mountain drives or getting through unplowed roads. The ladder pattern helps keep forward motion steady, while the rounded twist links bite into the snow without making your ride feel rough. It’s a durable just-in-case setup that performs well when the weather turns bad.

Smoother Ride Over Packed Snow: Rounded Links Reduce Bumpiness

Square links can make the ride harsh, but these chains use small, rounded twist links that roll more evenly over hard snow and ice. That means less jarring feedback through the steering wheel and a smoother feel while still keeping traction strong. It’s a smart design choice for anyone who wants traction without the bone-rattling ride.

No Loose Cams to Worry About: Simple Manual Tensioning

These chains skip cams and levers altogether, so there’s nothing to pop loose when you’re backing up or driving over uneven ground. You hook them together manually for a secure fit, and if you want them extra snug, rubber adjusters (sold separately) can help pull everything tight. It’s a straightforward setup that keeps things simple and dependable out in the snow.

Step one of Titan Chain installation showing chains laid flat on the ground with no tangles before placing them on the tires.

Draping Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains over a car tire as part of Step 2 installation procedure, ensuring prongs face away from sidewalls.

Connecting Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains behind a vehicle tire during installation process Step 3 for proper fit.

Attaching optional rubber tensioners to Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains after installation to ensure a tight, secure fit.

Stronger Than Cable Chains: Low-Carbon Steel for Long-Lasting Use

When you want something tougher than basic cable chains, these deliver. Built from low-carbon steel, they stand up to wear and give reliable strength season after season. That extra durability means you can count on them for the times you really need traction, without worrying about them stretching or snapping.

Made for Tight Clearances: SAE Class S Compatible

These chains are Class S compatible, so they work on vehicles with limited wheel-well space. The slim profile keeps enough clearance to protect your fenders and suspension components. That makes them a practical option for modern cars where space is tight but winter grip is still essential.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

These are real tire chains, My grand daughter bought some from O'Reilly's during our last snow storm. They were way over price and the metal was soft. I could bend the links with my hand. I found Your chains on line so I purchased them. I received them in short order (fast). They are heavy duty steel and I don't feel they will be like the ones she purchased and break in 5 miles. I'll see that she knows how to put them one right. So glad I found your ad on line.

Product itself is really strong and work properly. However, the way that I had to put the chains on the tires requires a lot of effort . I will keep the chains , but need to get different type of snow chain that's more easier to use....

by:

These tire chains fit my JLG Boom Lift tires, size 25x7-12, perfectly after I removed two cross links. They were longer than I needed, but worked perfectly fine after I made the adjustments, which was very easy to do! The advice provided by Andrew was perfect! Thank you Andrew and etrailer.com. Also, I received the chains 2 days after I ordered them - super fast shipment!!! Great company to deal with. I would buy from them again!

by:

Didn't get to use the product as the expected delivery date was wrong. The company shipped the item later than required and then wanted to charge me to correct their mistake (ship them back). Expectations were set and not met. Had to buy new chains. I would have paid extra for expedited shipping if I would have known this.

As with everything I get from etrailer my new snow chains arrived in an extremely timely manner. Had a few questions during the ordering process which were answered with a single, helpful, friendly, concise phone call. My vehicle is equipped with oversized tires so I had to use the tire size calculator to get the correct fit for the tires I am using. The tire calculator was right on. Perfect fit. Perfect wheel well clearance when mounted on front or back. I needed type S chains for my commuter vehicle to make the 5 mile trip to the main road on those 12" snow/ freezing rain mornings not only comfortable, and possible, but also as safe as possible. Long story short if you need snow chains of any size or style etrailer is you store.

by:

Haven't had to use the tire chains I bought yet. The only problem I had when I got the order was the plastic container that the trailer chains were in was broken.
Hope to use them soon.
Thank you for asking,

by:

Website is useful, ordering is easy, prices are reasonable, shipping is fast.
Will be back when will try chains during Christmas trip.

I have an ‘07 toyota camry tire size 215/60/16 and was able to install the chains on both of the drive tires in less than 7 mins by myself. I could've bought snow cables but based on my research, the camry is not low profile, plus the snow chains have more “bite” traction vs the cables! Etrailer is my go to place for auto accessories!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!
Id give a 10 star, but 5 star was the max, extremely pleased with my experience with the purchase.

My tire chains arrived on time, in good condition. I was able to use them a few days later. I already had the bungie cord tensioners and the directions were fine for me. They worked well. I only wish the shipping was cheaper, but I guess it was a heavy package and i did pick a faster service because I needed them soon.

by:

Excellent communication: good, competitive pricing and prompt delivery.

by:

My Titan Chain Low Profile Tire Chains arrived on time and fit great. They were exactly as described. Luckily I did not have to use them at all last winter, but I did a test run and they were relatively easy to install and tighten. Having these in the trunk of my van allow me to stay in compliance with state "chains required" regulations and provides me with peace of mind. I would highly recommend this product. Customer service has been great.

by:

For the Crosstrek we finally got an excellent pair of chains.

by:

Very happy with etrailer web site, ordering, support, notification and product. Easy to follow instructions included in product. Purchased chains for our Honda Odyssey with P235/60R18 tires. Chains easy to install. After a couple fit tests I found I needed to cut the tire perimeter circumferential main chains back to the link holding the last cross tire chain (note: I did not cut the link holding the last cross chain, I cut the next link closer to the chain end thus making the link holding the cross chain the last link. I also cut the last cross tire cross chain at the two links where they attach to the main circumferential front and back chains. This was no big deal as I have a pair of bolt cutters and this is not the first time I have had to fit chains to my tire. Once cut and fitted drove up and down the driveway accumulating several yards driven. I found you will need to retighten after my test which was easy. Have yet to give them the real test in snow.

by:

Perfect and affordable.

by:

Chains were easy to put on and with the rubber tensioners these chains are snug. Haven't used these on the road but my driveway was covered with snow and ice and it handled it great

by:

The chains were great, however the blue tensioners broke at the worst time and I didn't even use them for more than 10 minutes before the tensioner broke.

by:

Can't really talk about the actual performance of the chain in action since it is 100 degrees outside right now. Bought these to prepare for next winter. I have recently changed cars and tire sizes from my old chain set. However, I can talk about the process. Ordering was easy and shipping was swift. I assume these chains will be perfect. You may assume the same if I don't come back in Jan 2019 and say differently. The pricing was the very lowest and half price of everyone else. Even if I had to use these as parts for other chains it was worth the price for parts alone. Get one before they figure out the price is too low.

by:

Chains fit very well. Seems that the metal is very soft when trimming off the extra links with a hacksaw it only took a few seconds.

by:

Bought for my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. It is now unstoppable. My Vermont private road is too steep to be classified as a town road, and it went up through 6 inches of snow with icy spots without ever flinching.

by:

Wow, I have never ever been contacted about a product this long after purchasing! That to me is the best email I've had in years. Thank you very kindly.

I am still out in Colorado. Toughest year of my life hands down. Fortunately I only had to use the chains once last March and they worked great! Just a little more effort to get them on correctly but that is to be expected. And if you drive I-70 and get into a situation without proper tires or chains you get a big fine. No snowboarding for me this year though so no worries!

Thank you again for your email. I will always recommend you guys when I can help others find the equipment they need! Have a good afternoon!

Needed some help getting up my son‘s driveway.
These
were very easy to put on one at a time and will be very helpful.
I did drive a short distance on the the road, which was very bumpy and could only go about 10 miles an hour.
I took a spin out in the backyard which had about a foot of snow on it without a problem.
Very happy with the purchase for 2016 Dodge grand Caravan

Well-made chains with quality finish. Have not used in snow yet so effectiveness and durability are unknown.

by:

JUST WHAT I WANTED. Good quality, light duty, low profile, ladder pattern tire chains. Perfect fit, 225/60 R17, on my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, although this was my second Go-a-Round on ordering. Titan Chain lists TC1138 as the size for this tire and my car. NOT SO! The TC1142 is the one that fits ... perfectly! But Titan says that's for a 225/65 R17 size. THEY ARE WRONG! The TC1138 is 4" too short, and that's a HUGE discrepancy for tire chains. etrailer was absolutely no help with getting the right fit as they only go by listed sizes and don't know any product details (and don't want to know), only selling chains. They tried to steer me towards a Konig Chain with a diamond pattern at almost 5x the cost and far more complicated to install. I found the right chain size on their website in about 5 min. and ordered 2x pairs.

by:

The tire chains arrived on time and were as described. They came in a small plastic box for storage which should be handy. Fortunately, we haven't experienced any snow yet so I don't know how well the chains will perform. I will try to remember to update this review after fully using the chains.
