Features to know about

Stay Ready for Sudden Snow: Lightweight Cable Design Keeps You Moving

These Titan Chain cable tire chains are built for those unexpected winter conditions when traction suddenly disappears. The low-profile, roller-style cables wrap around your tires to grip in light snow, giving you just the bite you need to keep control. Because they’re compact and made for on-road use, they’re perfect to stash in your trunk for those “just in case” moments when chain laws pop up or the weather takes a turn.

Fastening the rear side cable of Titan Chain tire chains behind the tire by connecting through the eye hook.

Securing excess side cable of Titan Chain tire chains using a metal clip during installation.

Attaching and tightening Titan Chain cable tire chains on the front of the tire during installation.

Installing rubber adjusters on Titan Chain cable tire chains in a star pattern to tighten fit on tire.

Tight Clearance, No Problem: Class S Compatible for Restricted Wheel Wells

If your vehicle doesn’t have much space around the tires, these cables are a smart fit. They meet SAE Class S clearance requirements and are designed for passenger vehicles with limited wheel-well room. The compact cable style sits close to the tire, so you get the traction you need without the bulk of heavy chains.

Smooth Ride Over Snow-Covered Pavement: Roller Links Run Quiet and Even

Unlike traditional chains that can make your drive rough, the rollers on these cables glide more smoothly over the road surface. The ladder pattern helps you keep steady forward traction in light snow while minimizing road vibration. It’s a setup that gives you confidence on slick city streets or winter highways without the harsh ride of older link-style chains.

Simple to Use When It Counts: Manual Tensioning with Rubber Adjusters

When the snow starts falling, you want something you can put on fast. These cables connect easily using a steel channel and side cable—no levers or complicated tools needed. Add a set of rubber adjusters (sold separately) for a snug, secure fit that stays tight mile after mile. The straightforward design means you spend less time fiddling in the cold and more time getting where you need to go.

Built for Light Snow Seasons: Low-Carbon Steel for Reliable Grip

Each cable is made from low-carbon steel for strength and flexibility in cold conditions. They’re tough enough to get you through ice patches or a few inches of snow but light enough to handle and store easily. Keep them dry after each use and they’ll be ready for the next winter trip—your simple, dependable traction solution for occasional snow driving.

  • B: at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Could have died without these lol.

Service was excellent and very friendly. I haven't been able to use the chains just yet, but they look easy to put on and came in a nice tot bag that I can store in the car.

Thank you

by:

I haven't used them yet, but they are WAY lighter than the old school chains. A lot easier to store and move around.

by:

Good looking product. Having chains in the trunk during winter travel is a must here in CA. CHP will turn you around in a second and you will have to hunt for chains who knows where, if you don't plan ahead. A great insurance policy to have these in the trunk, even if you don't use them. The set I bought for another car never got used, but I don't consider them a waste of money.

by:

Worked well, easy to install as I tried them out before needing to install n the snow.

by:

These chains are awesome, super easy to install and they work great. We had some snow recently and these were exactly what I needed, I was able to get up the hill near my house when 4x4 trucks couldn't.

by:

These cable chains are exactly as described, perfect for Pennsylvania winters!

by:

Needed something for traction on Ranger UTV with 14" car tires. Best price with excellent service.

by:

Put them on the car in the driveway, simple instructions, easy install. Let’s see what it’s like when it is snowy

by:

Like brining an umbrella. When you have it, you won't need it

by:

I have not used the product yet but the service that was provided by Etrailer, com was great!!!!

by:

These are good quality cables, I never had to use them, the studded tires got me through an easy winter before trading in the car. I just carried them just in case.

by:

by:

I have not tried the chains yet, but the shipping was incredibly fast and communication/notifications were great. Hoping the product is just as good! Price was fantastic!

by:

I haven't tried the chains yet, but I got the wrong tensioners

by:

Thanks so much for your assistance in compliance with our new traction law on I70 through the Colorado mountains. Your site was easy to use in sizing chains, ordering with fast, efficient delivery. Additionally the installation video was very helpful for those of us new to the process.

by:

These chains are a safety feature to be carried in my wife's trunk so IF & WHEN we do need them we will have them handy. This works along the same principle as having a spare tire in your trunk. When you have an unexpected flat tire you are so thankful you have a solution to your problem with you.

Thanks,

Michael

Cables are compact for fitting in low profile areas like my wife's Honda Accord. Only issue is that the size recommended, I'm on the last rung of the cable and not able to attach the extra safety loop. It still seems very secure though. The deeper the snow the better, as it lessens road vibration. In PA we had ice and about 5 inches of snow on the roads. I went everywhere better than the 4x4's were making out. Thousands cheaper than buying a new truck. More $$$ for my hotrod fund.
CUSTOMER SERVICE was EXCELLENT and 5 star! I even received a follow up email and phone call. I'm in sales and can't say this even happens anymore. Thank you !

by:

Don't buy these chains. Ladder chains are inferior to Z-type or diamond-pattern chains, and are occasionally prohibited on certain icy highways.

These are also of low quality construction. I had an issue where the chain got bent around itself (and my axle), so it could not be removed, and had to be cut off my car.

by:

I've used the cable snow chains with steel rollers in Colorado when the DOT announced chain laws over the radio. It does its job of keeping the vehicle on the road and it's easy to put on the wheels. Great for emergency use if caught in ice or snow. I keep two pairs of chains in the car just in case we run into increment weather. As to the different brands, I'll have to see which one lasts longer when they are used. Etrailer is a great place to shop.

Still in the trunk . Have not used due to warm weather in the south.

by:

Now that the holidays and medical scares are over. The chains came sooner than expected. I was able to fit them to the trailer tires! So we are ready for more snow! I read that vehicles with trailers over 10,000 lbs have to have chains for one axle of the trailer, (when chains are required). Hopefully I won't have to use them!
THANK YOU ETRAILER!

Purchased Titan Tire Chains for Wide Base Tires - Ladder Pattern - Square Link part TC3229S for a 2018 Ram 2500 with OEM 275/70/R18 tires. These are great chains and very heavy-duty for wide base tires. I mounted them on the rear axle of the Ram and discovered the chain in close proximity to the P-Brake cable, too close for my comfort. I believe the wide base chains are too wide for these OEM tires and fit was pretty loose.
One could gain more clearance near the E-Brake by attaching the inside hook to the end (last) link. Then using a chain a tightener do your best to take up all the outside slack. I just was not comfortable with the overall fit so I send these chains back. Very painless return made easy by etrailer because they emailed a return UPS label.

After reviewing tech info and reviews I purchased Titan Alloy Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link part TC2533 for the 2018 Ram 2500. These are regular duty and a better fit. These chains offer a lot more clearance for the P-Brake cable. They are a cleaver design, have great carrying case and are fairly quick to install. I have not purchased winter tires for this vehicle so the Ram need chains to pull a travel trailer up and down our snow-covered road.

  • Do I Really Need To Use an Extra Tensioner With My Snow Tire Chain?
While the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC1034 'technically' don't need chain adjusters or separate tensioners, I highly recommend them. Especially since they don't have a self-tensioning system like the Konig CG9 # TH00023100 or even cam tighteners. These cable tire chains are designed to be tightened by adjusting only the front and the back connections. Without a tightener, you'll have to go back and forth until you fine-tune the tightest fit, and even that fit has a wiggle room...

The Titan Chain Cable # TC1034 will fit the 205/75R14 tires on your EZ Loader Boat trailer. However, I do not recommend using cables unless there are no other options. Cables are not very effective and are typically for emergency use. Instead, I would get actual chains like the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC1134. These will do a much better job with a minimal cost difference. These chains use a ladder-pattern with twist links and have a low-carbon steel construction.
