When the snow piles up or the road turns to packed ice, these Konig chains grab hold where regular tires would spin. The diamond pattern gives you constant traction all the way around the tire instead of leaving gaps like ladder designs. It helps you climb steep, snowy driveways or twisty hills without losing grip, and the square links bite in evenly for a steady, smooth ride on snow and light ice.
Wrestling with loose chains in the cold is no fun. These have an assisted tensioning system built right in, so you just pull the tensioner to snug them up—no separate tools or loose parts to keep track of. The tensioners automatically keep the fit tight as you drive, so you spend less time adjusting and more time on the move.
Square links are small enough to dig in for traction without making the ride feel harsh or bumpy. Their compact shape helps your tires roll more evenly, cutting down on the vibration that bigger links can cause. You get solid grip without feeling like you’re bouncing down the road.
Winter roads are tough on gear, but these chains are built from high-quality manganese nickel alloy steel that stands up to corrosion and repeated use. The material keeps its strength even in harsh conditions, so you can count on them to handle snow, slush, and road salt year after year.
If your vehicle doesn’t have much room between the tire and wheel well, these chains still fit easily. They meet SAE Class S clearance standards, requiring just 1/2" of internal space. That low-profile build gives you dependable traction without rubbing or interference and makes them ideal for vehicles with tight wheel-well spacing.

This is an awesome review Andrew, thank you for sharing it. Sounds like those chains seriously showed up when the snow did. Getting through 20+ inches without worrying about hills, plows, or digging out is exactly the kind of peace of mind we love to hear about. We also appreciate the honest notes on install and removal. Snowy installs are never glamorous, but it’s great to hear they’re manageable with a little patience. Stay safe out there and enjoy that winter confidence. How was Vermont?

Hi, Austin. Thanks for the review. I just purchased these same chains and am wondering if you have ever had any problem with the chains scratching or damaging the rims? Thanks

Glad we got them to you in good time, Raymond! Did you end up needing them for the storm? We got a pretty good amount of snow here in Missouri.

Glad they showed up in good condition, Drew! These can be heavy and that case makes everything lot easier to deal with. Definitely let us know about the fitment when you try them. And I do recommend trying them before you need them. It makes the whole process a lot easier. Are you headed into the mountains?
