Parts Needed to Convert a 4-way to a 5-way for a Honda Odyssey Towing Surge Brake Boat Trailer
Published 05/17/2013 >
Question:
My Honda Odyssey is currently wired with a flat 4 3 male, 1 female plug. I see a total of 5 wires entering the plug. But a recently purchased boat requires that I switch to a flat 5 plug for releasing the trailers brakes when backing up. What steps will I need to take to convert the wiring plug? Thanks,

You are going to need to install a Adapter 4 Pole to 5 Pole # 20036. This product will plug right into your 4-way and then you will run the blue wire from the adapter to your reverse light circuit and then you will have a fully functional 5-way that will allow the trailer brakes to release when you reverse your trailer.
I attached an install video for this product to show you how it installs.
