This harness is made to plug straight into the vehicle’s factory tow package wiring. Both connectors match the existing plugs behind the interior trim panel, so there’s no splicing or cutting wires. Once connected, the 4-way flat trailer plug is ready to use for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights.
Because it ties into the existing tow package circuits, there’s no need to run a separate power wire to the battery. Everything you need is already in place, which keeps the install simple and the setup clean.
The 4-flat connector gives you all the basic trailer lighting functions in one plug. It provides running light, turn, and brake signals for most small and mid-size trailers. Just connect and you’re ready to hit the road.
The Curt T-Connector uses color-coded wires and factory-style plugs that make it easy to match everything up correctly. The gray connector lines up with the left turn signal circuit and the black connector with the right, helping ensure your trailer lights work just like they should.

It almost the correct Product. My fault, I ordered the factry installed
rather than a new install. Cable leading to the right side was too short.
I'm gonna see if I can modify it to make it about at least 1 1/2 ' longer.
If not I'll just order the correct product.

Works Perfect!
I got just what I ordered and it was delivered on time. Everything went smoothly until I went to install the harness in my Jeep. That’s when I realized I ordered the wrong harness. My Jeep has a towing package but it did not come with a factory towing package. I ordered the harness for the factory towing package and it does not fit. It’s my fault. But YES I recommend this seller because they did as promised and the harness was in perfect brand new condition.
Easy to order, quick receipt of product, and super easy install. The included instructions didn't exactly match my vehicle, but there were several benefits online. It literally involved plugging in 3 plugs and that's it.

I bought this specifically for my 1997 Grand Cherokee with the tow package. Like alot of people who bought this (as i later found out) it had an extra connector that didnt fit anywhere in my jeep. My jeep had a big 8 pin connector behind the spare tire, but this kit has a small 2 pin connector that had nowhere to go. I emailed customer support and never got a response from them. I ended up buying another one somewhere else that did fit.
the included instructions from the manufacture are wrong. for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee the proper vehicle harnesses are located on the driver's side behind the spare,not the passenger side. You will see an access panel there. Open it and both connections are there. You need to switch the yellow and green wires for proper operation. plugs are on the harness
I have called curt mfg. to have them correct their instructions I hope you will correct your web site. otherwise the product works great.

I am installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Wiring Connector Kit 55260 and i dont see where the black plug goes. The one with two spades in it.
