Question:
I have a 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo which I am trying to install a Curt 55260 trailer wiring harness. Ive run into a slight issue though, I cant seem to find the black 4 pin connection that is supposedly taped to the existing wires? To the best of my knowledge, the wiring is all stock? Am I missing something?

The Curt trailer wiring harness # C55260 is designed for models of the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that came with the factory tow package. It is possible that yours does not have the factory tow package so not all of the wiring is present. If you have searched and cannot find that connector anywhere then that is likely what is going on.
So instead of harness # C55260 you would need a different harness, # 118349. I have included a link to a video review of this harness for you.
