Question:

my t con is on dri side is that any diff? I got it all hooked up it doesnot work.i got power to it but no power out of it to the trai.thanks.1997 jeep grand choei got this in 4/15/2013.

First, the Curt trailer wiring harness # C55260, is designed to fit if the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee came with the factory tow package. If yours does not have the factory tow package that could be the issue. There could also be some fuses or relays related to the factory tow package wiring, if you have it, that are missing or blown. On some vehicles, power can get through if there is a relay missing but the full power cannot go through the converter until said relay is replaced. Use the vehicle owners manual to determine the locations of fuses/relays related to the tow package wiring.

If your Jeep does not have the factory tow package then you should be using harness # C55349. I have linked the installation instructions for you.

I have also provided a couple of links to help you with some troubleshooting if you cannot determine any other faults.
