Adapter to go From 7-Way on Vehicle to 4-Way on Trailer
Updated 11/14/2022 | Published 11/12/2022 >
Question:
Curt 55349 has a 4 pole connector and my car has a 7 pole connector. I want to do the install so that I use the factory 7 pole connector but the wires on the 7 pole are a different color. How do I transfer them over correctly? I can send a picture of my connector and the colors if that matters? Thanks!

If I'm understanding correctly, you want to switch your Jeep's 7-way to a 4-way, but if you already have a 7-way on your Jeep, you can't switch it to the Curt 4-Way # C55260. You can still use a 4-way though, you'll just need a simple adapter:
- 7-Way RV to 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47365
All you have to do is plug the # HM47365 into the 7-way on your Jeep, and it has a 4-way connector on the other end that you can plug a trailer 4-way into.
