Question:
On my 97 jeep grand cherokee I can not locate the black connector. I have checked both sides. Taken tape off all of wires. Traced harness completely and no connector.

Curt trailer wiring harness # C55260 is designed for models of the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that came with a factory tow package. If that connector is no where to be found then that likely indicates that the vehicle does not have the factory tow package and you will need a different wiring harness, # 118349, which plugs in line with the vehicle tail light wiring.
