Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: 6,000-lb Rear Support

When a trailer or bed load pushes the rear of your vehicle down, the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 6,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to bring it back in line. The hollow rubber springs sit above the axle and resist sag so your truck stays level and stable. That means steering, braking, and traction stay predictable whether you’re towing heavy or hauling gear every day.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Progressive Hollow Rubber Springs

The Aeon hollow rubber springs cushion harsh bumps and rough roads by taking the brunt of the impact before it reaches your frame. Their progressive design becomes more rigid as weight increases, so they stay soft with light loads but firm up when you’re maxed out. The result is a smooth, controlled ride that protects your factory suspension from bottoming out and reduces wear over time.

Keep Control Through Turns and Uneven Loads: Independent Spring Action

Each Timbren spring works on its own to support side-to-side loads. When one side compresses from a corner or uneven cargo, the other stays steady to cut down on sway and body roll. That independent action helps keep your truck planted through curves, gusty crosswinds, or when you’re carrying an off-center load.

Simple Bolt-On Design: No Drilling or Air Lines Needed

Installation is straightforward thanks to custom-fit brackets that bolt directly to the frame above the rear axle—no drilling required. There are no air hoses, compressors, or gauges to manage. Once in place, the system automatically adjusts as weight changes, giving you reliable suspension support with zero maintenance.

Easy install and much better than factory bump stops. Ready for another load of rock to see how it handles the squat. Would recommend.

Thanks for the excellent photos, Steven!

Pictures attached are from my 2020 Titan RWD (2wd) with OEM bump stops that were attached at the top frame above the rear springs and facing downward. These were very difficult to order and get the correct ones from the etrailer web site, however the etrailer representative was very understanding and did research to get me the correct item.

Springs look like a major upgrade from the factory stops. How has the ride been with the Timbrens on now?

by:
Product is built really well but does not work well on my 2023 Nissan Titan towing my 6400 pound travel trailer. I’m on my first trip since installing the timbren. The 3 hour drive was very harsh on the truck, travel trailer and my wife and myself. Every bump on the highway felt like we didn’t even have a suspension. It actually made handling worse. I dread the drive back home and will be reinstalling the factory bump stomps when I do get home. I hope I can return these for a refund.

22 Titan 4x4. I would have gave it 5 stars but when there is no load and you hit a bump hard enough, you can definitely feel them. They work very well and perfect for what I wanted otherwise.

2018 Nissan Titan
Timbren operats flawless. About an inch of clearance after installation. Installing these on my 2018 Titan pro4x (non XD) was not a bolt on installation. The hardware provided was not the same that I took out of my truck. I had to tap the nut in the frame starting with a M8-1.25, Then tap using M9-1.25, then finish off using M10-1.5. The bolt provided did not have enough thread on it (timbren was not tight to the frame), so I made an additional 1 inch of thread to the bolt, then everything went together smoothly. Ride is just like factory, until the 1 inch gap closes. I am still happy with the timbrens despite installation.

Did what was said it would do . Great fit!

This is a great system for keeping the rear end of my 2021 Nissan Titan CC Pro-4x from sagging when carrying heavier loads and the accompanying tongue weight. Towing feels solid, even at 8k lbs+ trailer weight. After a 3" lift, I ordered spacers to make up the difference and it continues to perform well. I would definitely recommend.
by:
They are fine when empty or with a heavy load but beat you to death with a light load. If I had to do it over again I would choose airbags for my application.

The jounce style Timbren springs are made of dense rubber so they can create a rougher ride. I recommend air bags for the 2021 Nissan Titan with part # AL57331. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 springs are designed to adjust the air pressure from 5 psi - 100 psi to adjust for a heavy or light load. An air compressor system part # AL25856 makes it more convenient to put air in the bags compared to stopping for air when you want to adjust the air pressure. This system is dual path so you can also adjust each side of the truck bed individually to balance the load. Please keep in mind these air bags are not compatible with a in-bed hitch like a fifth wheel or gooseneck.

Installation went good except the bolts sent with were too big to fit into the factory Nissan Titan holes. Used 13mm bolt and worked fine. Overall very pleased.

PRODUCT IS GOOD, BUT THE SUPPLIED BOLTS ARE NOT CORRECT FOR MY APPLICATION AS THEY STATED THEY WOULD FIT. HAD TO FIND AND BUY NEW BOLTS. 2018 NISSAN TITAN PLATINUM RESERVE. BEST TO ADD IN THE DIFFERENT SIZED BOLTS IN THE BOX.

These work like a champ. Ten minute install and removes the rear end squat straight away.

Installed the Timbren TFR250SDJ on my 2025 F-250 Platinum Plus 4WD Short Bed with 6.7 HO Powerstroke. Fit perfectly. It takes a few minutes to get the bags attached to the base. It seems like the bolt is too long but I used a vise to hold the unit while I tightened it down more and cinched the bag to the base. So if it seems it wont get tight enough and is still loose, find a way to secure the base... there's still a few more turns.

Attaching to the truck takes a few minutes to remove the OEM (2 nuts) and a few minutes to install the Timbren SES. I added about 45 minutes by dropping one of the nuts, which I finally found inside the shock absorber bracket!!

I used a hand socket but would recommend air or power tools, if you can get to the nuts, but it can be done manually. Probably took me a few extra minutes with a socket wrench because of limited space, and I'm old!

I have not tested the SES under load yet, but I was really more concerned with the ride unloaded.I ended up with a gap right at 1" between the peg and bottom of the SES. Some reviews said the unloaded ride worsened. So I drove to the nearest small town with horrible streets, bumps, holes, broken concrete, sewer covers 3" below the asphalt, etc. On the highway, the ride was perfect, completely unaffected. On my bad road obstacle course, I thought the ride improved significantly. So I think the system will give a better ride unloaded. It was a little stiffer, less roll, and smoother. It was not "bouncy" or jarring, like some reviews mention. Very smooth and felt beefier on bad roads.

I'll update after I've driven loaded. I tow a 12,000# 2025 Rockwood TT 36' with a ProPride 3P hitch. We put 7,000 miles on it across 15 states this past year, so I've definitely got a "before" baseline using the OEM bumpers.

The ordering process was great. Naomi D had great product knowledge. At first I thought I was talking to my granddaughter, but after putting her through the paces, It felt like I was getting sage advice from my Grandfather. e-Trailer seems to really invest in their customer service reps knowledge base. Also completely satisfied with the order process and delivery. They were able to mail to our PO Box, which seems to be a problem for most (our physical address is a gate on the side of a highway, with cows on the other side).

100% satisfied so far and would recommend both e-trailer and Timbren to a friend. Will update once I've done some towing, but can say the unloaded ride is unaffected or improved for my application. So far, very happy.

Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed review and all of the pictures! The unloaded ride is a concern we hear fairly often with SES upgrades, so your experience with the 1" gap and rough-road testing will be really helpful to others considering these for their F-250. We appreciate the kind words about Naomi and our team as well. Looking forward to your update once you get some miles on them with the Rockwood!

I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.
You rawk!!

Love hearing this! Really appreciate the detailed feedback and photos. That extra stability when you're loaded up can make a huge difference. And installing them at 11 at night—that's commitment. Hope they treat you just as well on those mountain roads. Safe travels and we'll definitely make sure Dee Dee gets the shoutout.

  • Recommended Helper Springs for 2012 Nissan Titan Pro-4X
I'm really glad you asked because we only have one confirmed fit for the Pro-4x model. It is the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Rear Axle # TNRTTNB which is a jounce style enhancement rated for 6,000 lbs load support. It will give you a progressive support as it provides additional support as needed to increase stability while reducing body roll and vehicle sag. It will not change the factory ride when not hauling a load, but will engage as needed for payload and towing.

  • Comparing The Timbren # TNRTTNB And # TNRTTN For A 2024 Nissan Titan SV
Hey Mitchell, The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TNRTTNB is designed specifically for Pro 4x models so it wouldn't be the right fit for your SV. Both the # TNRTTNB and # TNRTTN (which would be a fit for your SV) have 5" tall springs. The # TNRTTNB uses HCS M8 x 50 x 1.25 Grade 8.8 zinc coated bolts and the # TNRTTN uses HCS M10 x 40 x 1.5 Grade 8.8 zinc coated bolts. These both have a 6,000lb capacity and will make a significant difference to your unloaded ride quality. I personally...

  • Timbrens or SumoSprings. Which One is Better for a 2020 Nissan Titan 4WD?
I strongly recommend going with the SumoSprings Helper Springs item # SS95GR over Timbren's like item # TNRTTNB for your 4WD 2020 Nissan Titan. Both systems will support your rear end and keep your truck level while towing but you won't notice the SumoSprings when you are not towing. The Timbren's will be rough and stiffen up your suspension. You'll feel them going over every bump. I have linked a review video below.

  • Should I Use Timbren Or SumoSprings Suspension Enhancement On My 2020 Nissan Titan Pro-4X?
You are on the right track in looking for jounce springs, as this will reduce your Titan's rear sag and also improve the overall handling of the truck while reducing body roll. Jounce springs are also very easy to install and require no maintenance, unlike air bags. When deciding between Sumo Springs and Timbren, it really comes down to how much weight you will be adding to the bed of your truck. It sounds like SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SS95GR is the kit for...

  • Comparing Timbren SES to SuperSprings Sumo Spring Solo Custom Helper Springs for 2017 Nissan Titan
It's not quite a Ford vs Chevy or Nike vs Adidas argument since there are some functional differences between the suspension enhancements available for your 2017 Nissan Titan SL. The Super Springs Sumo Springs Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS95GR and Timbren SES # TNRTTNB are going to provide different levels of support. The Super Springs are going to do a better job of not affecting the unloaded ride quality since they get progressively stiffer as more weight is applied to them, where...

  • Jounce Bumper Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2021 Nissan Titan
Thanks for reaching out and all of the information, Dusty! • Timbrens or SumoSprings for 2019 Nissan Titan
Since Timbrens are notoriously harsher than SumoSprings and the truck will be unloaded for most of the year I would recommend the SumoSprings for your 2019 Nissan Titan with the part # SS95GR. This will give you the support you are looking for without destroying your unloaded ride quality.
