When the rear end squats under a heavy camper, trailer, or full bed of gear, things can feel sketchy fast. The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System – Severe Service – Rear Axle adds up to 7,000 lbs of extra rear suspension support to help stabilize and level your vehicle. The hollow rubber springs sit above the axle to engage only when weight is added, keeping your stance level and your steering and braking steady. You get a smoother, more controlled ride even when the truck is working hard.

Hauling over rough roads or uneven terrain doesn’t have to beat up your suspension. Timbren’s hollow rubber springs compress progressively — soft at first for light loads, then firming up as the weight increases. That design cushions bumps and absorbs road shock so the ride stays comfortable while extending the life of your suspension. There are no air lines or compressors to deal with, just solid mechanical support that works automatically when you need it.

When a sharp turn, crosswind, or uneven load tries to push you around, each Timbren spring reacts on its own to keep things level. This independent side-to-side action helps cut down on body roll and improves overall stability. Whether you’re hauling an off-center camper or swerving to avoid debris, you’ll notice steadier handling and less sway from both truck and trailer.

Adding serious load support shouldn’t mean tearing into your frame. This kit includes two Aeon hollow rubber springs, custom-fit brackets, and hardware that bolt directly onto the frame in place of the factory bump stops. No drilling is required. With basic tools and clear instructions, it’s a straightforward install for anyone comfortable turning a wrench — designed for dependable performance over the long haul with a limited lifetime warranty on normal use.

There should be about 1 inch to 1 and a half inch of space between the axle and spring when the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is unloaded. You can achieve this by removing the spacer. That will improve the ride quality.

The Timbren springs will be more robust and larger then the factory stops. This means when the truck is unloaded and the truck goes over bumps, the springs will hit the frame quicker which can make a rougher ride for some. Air bags are a good alternative if this would be bothersome.
