These SumoSprings helper springs add up to 1,800 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to help keep your ride level and steady. The progressive design of these springs changes resistance based on weight—light loads get a soft cushion, while heavy cargo gets firm support. Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the SumoSprings rear axle custom helper springs. Now this kit is designed to fit your 2024 and newer Toyota Land Cruiser and Tacoma. Then your 2022 and newer Lexus LX 600. And then finally your 2023 and newer Toyota Sequoia.
On custom fit parts such as these helper springs, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this set will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So whether you're hauling weekend gear or towing a small trailer, these springs are going to adapt to the load. Light cargo is going to compress them slightly for a soft ride while heavier loads are gonna activate more resistance, keeping your truck level and your drive predictable. Now these do have a weight capacity at 50% compression of 1,800 pounds, but do be aware of the fact that these springs do not actually increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.
And these are designed to handle the harsh environments. The closed cell urethane is going to resist road salt, oil and UV damage. And then with no air lines or fittings to worry about, this is basically gonna be a set it and forget it solution built for year-round reliability. So that's what's great about SumoSprings. So if you hit a pothole or a rough stretch of road, these springs are gonna act like a cushion between your frame and axle, soaking up the impact to reduce jarring and minimize bounce.
It's, relatively speaking, a small upgrade, but you know it's gonna make a huge difference in comfort. Definitely less moving parts to worry about than airbags :) The install looks great! Are you hitched up in the photo to test out the springs or were you actually on your way to the water?

Cant believe its been a year since I installed the SumoSprings. Every time I go around a corner I so appreciate the excellent handling I now have. The Sumos have earned their 5th STAR!
