When you need a suspension that can handle serious weight, this tandem-axle hanger kit is built for the job. It’s designed for use with 10,000-lb to 15,000-lb heavy-duty Dexter axles, giving you the strength and stability needed for loaded hauls. The setup keeps both axles aligned at 48-1/2" spacing so the trailer tracks straight and rides smooth mile after mile.
Each hanger in this kit is sized exactly where it belongs—(2) 6-1/4" tall front hangers with 1" bolt holes, (2) 4-1/8" tall center hangers with 1-1/8" bolt holes, and (2) 7-11/16" tall rear hangers with 1/2" bolt holes. The height differences keep the suspension geometry correct so your 3" slipper springs move freely through their range. With these solid mounts in place, the suspension works as intended and stays quiet through bumps and turns.
The left-hand and right-hand equalizers measure 24-3/4" long and are designed to maintain a consistent 48-1/2" between axles. This spacing evens out road forces between the front and rear suspensions so each axle carries its share of the load. The result is better balance, smoother towing, and less stress on frame components.
All the key hardware comes right in the kit—spring keeper bolts, spring-eye bolts, equalizer bolts, and matching locknuts. The sizes are dialed in for a tight fit: 4-1/2" long x 1/2" diameter spring keeper bolts with locknuts, 5-1/2" long x 1" diameter spring-eye bolts with locknuts, and 6" long x 1-1/8" diameter equalizer bolts with locknuts. With everything torqued down to spec, you get a sturdy connection that keeps the suspension tight and dependable run after run.
Getting the layout right is simple thanks to clear measurement references—38-1/3" between front and center hangers (Measurement A) and 37-7/10" between center and rear hangers (Measurement C). The taller hanger mounts to the rear to keep geometry correct. Lay out these distances before drilling or welding, and your suspension will line up cleanly without trial and error.
| Axle Capacity | A - Distance Between Front and Center Hangers | B - Distance Between U-Bolts | C - Distance Between Center and Rear Hangers | D - Distance Between Center of Axle and Trailer Frame |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 lbs - 15,000 lbs | 38-1/3" | 48-1/2" | 37-7/10" | 5-1/2" |
