An illustration shows the eleven inch clearance level needed between the ground and B and W Tow and Stow hitch.

Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.

The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having both a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.

Easily Adjusts and Stows

B&W Tow & Stow Ball Mount Operation

To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.

Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.

When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.

Built-In Anti-Theft System

The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.

Single Dimensions

A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.

When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

  • Class V Hitch and Towing Parts Recommendations for a 2013 Ford E-350
The only Class V trailer hitch for your 2013 Ford E-350 is the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41945 which is a custom fit so it bolts right up to your van without any drilling. Then for wiring I recommend the T-One # 118551 for a 4-Way flat connection and then add the Universal Wiring Harness # ETBC7 and Extra Wiring # 10-2-1 for a fully-functional 7-Way if that's what the end-goal is. Sounds like you are needing a ball mount. If you have a 2" hitch, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount item # BWTS10037B. This ball mount has both a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball. It will give you a 5" drop or a 5-1/2" rise. The 2" ball has a 7,500 lbs capacity and the 2-5/16" ball mount has a 10,000 lbs capacity. If you have a 2-1/2" hitch you'll want the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount item # BWTS20037B. If your truck is lifted you will want the 2" B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount item #...

  • Is B&W Tow & Stow 5" or 7" Drop Ball Mount Needed for Truck with 22 Inch Receiver Height
The average trailer coupler height is in the neighborhood of 16-19 inches. What I'd recommend you do is put the various trailers you tow up on their jack so the frame is level to the ground, and measure their coupler height (see linked article). If none of them are lower than 15 inches, you can go with the 5 inch drop Tow & Stow, part # BWTS10037B. My contact at B&W suggests that you won't want to use a locking pin because the keys can go missing or the dirt/grime makes your ball mount non-adjusting any longer. This will work well on your 2013 Ford F-350 Crew Cab with 6 inch lift as long as your trailer height will allow you to tow level. • Comparing Weight Distribution Hitch And Adjustable Ball Mount For 3500lb Trailer Being Rented Out
For renting your trailer I would not recommend a weight distribution hitch, as it will need to be setup for each individual vehicle that the renter has. Since the trailer only has a 3500lb GVWR a weight distribution hitch is not necessarily required so you won't be causing a safety issue.
