How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Inno Aero Bars with flush-mounted feet on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. Adding a roof rack to the top of your Equinox is gonna help solve the issue of having limited cargo space. You know, as an Equinox owner, you already know you are pretty compact as far as the space you have on the back, so this is gonna allow you to take advantage of that space on top of your roof. And you can add a cargo basket, enclosed box, bike carrier, you know, your wide open with your options. Your aero bars have a included strip here that's gonna help reduce your wind drag. And you can actually push down into it to take advantage of the T-slot.
So if you have eye loop adapters or any other accessory that goes into T-slots, that's a great way to integrate that into the system, and it's gonna let you have another tie-down point. Your feet are flush mounted, which gives it a nice finished look. If you needed that tie-down, you may wanna look towards something else, but if you are looking for that more finished, rounded off look, these are a great option. And they're all keyed alike and lockable, so you're gonna keep your bars nice and secure on top of your Equinox. How it secures to the top of your vehicle, under here is actually your pad that's gonna secure to this gutter space here, and your clamp in the door jamb is gonna squeeze down, and that's what keeps everything sturdy and stable on top of the vehicle.
Now, your installation on this is really easy, and I'm gonna walk you through it. So let's get started. We're gonna start our installation by grabbing our foot and installing the pad on the bottom. Just wanna make sure that we're paying attention to the orientation of the pad. It basically lines up with the holes at the bottom.
And you're just gonna slide it right in. And I'm gonna do that on both, 'cause this setup is pretty straightforward and pretty quick. So we're just gonna pop those on. And now, we're gonna slide them onto the track. On our aero bar, we're gonna press down here and slide this opening.
And then we're gonna take our cleat and just get that aligned with the track. And we're gonna do the same on the other side. (aero bar clacking) Once we have the pads installed on our feet, we're gonna take our bar over to the vehicle, then get it installed. And I'm just gonna place my bar across the top. And just wind it up as best I can to the passenger's side. And we'll be able to get that positioned right where we need it. So I'm gonna go to the other side, then I'm gonna grab my tape, and we'll set up our crossbar spread to the appropriate distance. Now, we're gonna remove this center bolt that's in our foot, and that's what actually holds our clamp for our door jamb in place. So now, I'm just gonna start it. Just try to grab a couple threads. I'm gonna go to the other side. Now, once I have this installed, I'm gonna go back and forth from each side to tighten it down, 'cause it kinda pulls over, so you just want to kinda keep it even as far as how it's cinching down on the roof. (lock core clicking) All right, now we have it nice and secure to the vehicle. Once we have everything tightened down, we're gonna put our end cap on. We're just gonna lock it to secure everything to our carrier, and we're good to go.
