I have a 2018 Honda Civic Coupe with a sunroof. Looking to carry my kayak. Is this a good idea?

You can carry a kayak on a roof rack on the 2018 Honda Civic Coupe with a sunroof as long as you do not try to open the sun roof while you are carrying the kayak.

I recommend Inno Aero Aluminum cross bars part # INXB108-2 with Inno Feet part # INXS200 and fit kit part # INK683. The Aero bars of the Inno system will help cut down on wind noise.

To carry the kayak I recommend Yakima JayLow part # Y04073 because it allows you more space on the roof for other gear because the kayak sits on it's side. That is a nice feature for vehicle's with smaller roofs like the Civic. The JayLow is also the easiest way to carry 2 kayaks if you decide to get another kayak in the future. Most brands require you to purchase another set of J-style carriers for a second kayak. I also recommend adding locks part # Y07202 to protect your investments.
