The Road Warrior fork-mount bike carrier is designed to fit into the channel of your front roof-rack crossbar. The head of the rack includes a steel bracket that slides into your crossbar channel and tightens with a bolt. The rear of the rack attaches to your crossbar with a clamp-on steel bracket and hand knobs.

This rack has an aerodynamic fork block that is set up to fit bikes with quick-release front wheels. A disc brake cutout ensures that the rack fits both disc- and standard-brake systems. The 9-mm, stainless steel skewer firmly grips your bike's front fork. And the built-in cam lever makes it easy to load and unload your bike.

The Road Warrior has a ratcheting rear wheel strap that slides along the rack's wheel tray to adjust to different bike lengths, ensuring that your bike is completely fastened down.

To deter the theft of your bike, the Road Warrior includes keyed-alike lock cores in the skewer and the fork block. This allows you to lock your bike to the rack and the rack to your crossbars.

The Road Warrior can be used on the driver's or passenger's side of your vehicle - just move the skewer handle and ratcheting wheel strap to the appropriate side of the rack.

Video Transcript for Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Rack Review

Today were going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Roof Mounted Bike Rack, part number RBC036. Some of the special features of the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior is that it has two lock cores integrated into the quick-release skewer, as well as the top of the bike rack. What this is going to do, is not only is it going to lock your bike to the bike rack, but also lock your rack to the vehicle. The strap, here at the rear of the bike rack, slides up and down the length of the bike rack to accommodate different bike lengths. It also can be flipped around to be used on the other side of the bike rack, so the rack can be used on either the drivers side or passenger side of the vehicle. The way that the bike rack is designed to fit into the T-channels of your crossbars, is it helps to reduce drag and wind noise. Its constructed of a lightweight, double walled aluminum that is durable and corrosion resistant. It holds a wide range of tire sizes, from skinny road tires to 2.7 wide mountain bike tires. It has a weight capacity of 33 pounds and comes with a three year limited warranty. Now that weve gone over some of the special features and specs of the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior, well go ahead and show you how to load up a bike. First you need to undo the caps and peel back some of the strip.

Well only need to do this for the front bar. Now well simply take our bike rack and place it up onto the roof of our vehicle. Now you can see, this silver block here on the underside of the front part of the bike rack, is going to slide into the T-channel of our crossbar. Now with that in place, well go ahead and move to the rear and adjust the rear bracket to fit around the rear bar. Well loosen up one of the black wing nuts and position the rear bracket around the underside of the rear bar. Now moving back up to the front, well take the included tensioning tool to tighten down the Allen bolts up at the front of the carrier.

What this is going to do, is this is going to pinch the silver block up against the top portion of our T-strip, and secure the front of the bike rack to the front crossbar. With that tight, well reinsert our plastic cover. Now you can see, we do have some remaining weather-stripping here. What well need to do is measure where we need to cutout the weather-stripping so this can fit through. Keeping this weather stripping in place is going to prevent your bars from whistling. For todays demonstration, were just going to simply remove the weather stripping. To load up a bike, well first make sure that the skewer up at the front is loose, so that our forks can slide down onto it.

Well then move to the rear and undo the tray strap. Now well go ahead and place our bike up onto the bike rack. Well slide the forks down onto the skewer, tighten down the skewer, and then clamp it down. Now at the rear, well adjust the wheel strap to fit the length of our bike. Well insert into the buckle and pull it tight. Now well go ahead and check for rear hatch access.

This is kind of important, as you want to be able to get your helmet, shoes, and other gear, out of the rear hatch as quick as possible. You can see that the rear hatch does come in contact with the wheel tray, here at the rear of the bike rack. What you can do to prevent this from happening, is you can actually flip the bike rack around to where the front forks slide down onto the rear crossbar. This is going to allow you to have room at the rear, and be able to access the rear hatch. Now with our bike all loaded up and flipped around to give us rear hatch access, well go ahead and take it out for a test-drive to show you how it looks driving down the road. That will complete todays review of the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Roof Top Bike Rack, part number RBC036. .

Although I have not yet taken a trip with the bikes installed (I have two of these fork mount bike carriers on my crossbars) I tested the rack stability at home with bikes installed and they are very sturdy. Assembly of the carriers to my aero cross bars was easy but just a bit tedious). 595123

The quality, fit, and installation of the Rhino Rack Road Warrior Rooftop bike carrier is terrific. Definitely on par or better than a comparable Thule bike rack. 223582

Well.. over all I like Rhino Rack products and I LOVE etrailer.. so this review is more about Rhino Rack's instructions. Thumbs down on this.. I had such difficulty figuring out the very sparse installation instructions that I had to consult my husband...who can put absolutely anything together WITHOUT instructions. Which he pretty much had to do as the ones included with the roof bike rack were confusing and incomplete. Still a good rack though. 280289

Bought for my 2004 BMW 330i sedan. Fits beautifully. Bikes fit great. Wind noise isn't bad as it is a low profile fit. Looks nice on my car not cheap at all. I added Thule wheel holders and they fit perfect. Nice reliable rack for the money. Would recommend ?? 305349

This bike carrier has a clean design and it assembled and attached to the roof rack easily. A locking front cover prevents it from being detached from the roof rack and the tray has a cut out in the front for a disc brake if my next bike has one. Once everything is snug, the bike feels solid and there's no slop. 747667

We have Thru axle style fork mounted bike racks available, but the part # RBC036 that you referenced is not one of them. The Kuat Trio part # RBC036 fits 9 mm, 15 mm, and 20 mm Thru axles and would be a great choice.

  • Comparing the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail and Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Carriers
The main difference between the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier part # RBC035 and the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Carrier part # RBC036 is how they mount. The MountainTrail mounts using a wraparound style clamp whereas the Road Warrior mounts in a track/c-channel. If you have a track/c-channel then you can use both. The Road Warrior has a three year warranty and the MountainTrail has a lifetime warranty. I have attached a review video of both bike racks for you as well.

  • How to Carry 4 Bikes on a 2013 Prius V
The hitches available for your Prius are Class I, which have a low tongue weight capacity (maximum amount of weight that can safely be suspended from the hitch) of 200 lbs. Because of this, the bike rack and the hitch manufacturers both agree that only two bikes should be carried in a bike rack installed on a Class I hitch. Adding a third and fourth bike would place the weight too far rearward of the trailer hitch, which would apply leverage that the hitch isn't designed to withstand. Carrying...

I have a solution for you. However, we do not carry traditional ladder racks designed to fit over camper shells. To carry bikes and kayaks over your camper shell, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System # Y02-490B. This rack will mount to the roof of your camper shell. It is important to remember that the weight capacity of the rack will be dependent on the weight capacity of your camper shell. When choosing bike racks and kayak carriers, it is important to keep in mind the size...

  • Recommended Roof Rack And Bike Carrier For 2016 Nissan Sentra
The roof rack I recommend for your 2016 Nissan Sentra is the Rhino Rack Aero. To order this roof rack you will need part # RRVA118B-2, part # RRRLKVA, and part # DK369. For a bike carrier I recommend the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior # RBC036. This is a fork-mount bike carrier and has a weight capacity of 33-lbs.

The Rola Sport Series Roof Rack, part # 59681 you referenced is designed for 2012 through 2015 Honda CR-V with the flush factory side rails. You mentioned you have a naked roof and we have other roof rack options for that roof style but the 59681 does not fit a naked roof. If the roof on your CR-V looks similar to the attached photo, you would need a roof rack for a naked roof.
