Video Transcript for SeaSucker Talon MAX Bike Rack for 1-Bike Feature Review

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our SeaSucker Talon MAX Bike Rack for one bike fork mounted with a vacuum cup attachment to the vehicle. So folks, this fork mount bike rack will let you carry one bike on a wheel, or sorry, on a vehicle with a naked roof, and it's gonna be great for use on rental cars when traveling. You can carry all this in maybe your suitcase, and then use it on the rental car or whenever you get to wherever you're going. It's gonna store in the trunk, garage, or suitcase when not in use.

It does come with a universal fork mount and rear wheel holder. This guy would be mounted up here. You're also gonna get two of each of the husky plugs, the nine millimeter quick release with the skewer. You're gonna get the 12, 15, and another 15 boost through adapters. Now the two 15s, one's a 15 by 110, and the other one's a 15 by 100.

Now the vacuum cups simply mount to either glass, metal, fiberglass in seconds. You simply take off the protective cover. That's a hard plastic cover they give you. You simply put that on a flat non-porous surface, and then you simply just pump it up until it vacuums up all the air out to underneath the cup. Now I do have it over a hole over here so it's not vacuuming down super tight.

But rest assured, this is rated for 200 pounds, 210 pounds per cup. So you have one, two, three, four, total of 840 pounds. And then to get it back off, there's a rubber tab here. You simply lift up there on either side and that's how you release to get the pressure back out. So again, when you're not using them, put these covers they give you back over these cups.

That's gonna keep them nice and safe. You don't have to worry about them getting scratched up and everything. Now they also give you some lubrication gel here. That's gonna go inside the plungers themselves, keep them lubricated. Here's a replacement plunger. Looks like it was in the box. It's gonna protective little hose over here, so whenever it's vacuumed, it'll stay down in place. When it's not, it'll be orange. So that came with it. You got a little baggie of some bolts and nuts here. You got a wrench, seven 16ths. A little Allen key wrench, and some hook and loop strapping there. And once again, this is the main body here. Now you can carry, again, one bike up to 45 pounds. "So, okay, Steven, why can it hold 840 pounds, but I can only carry a 45 pound bike" Well, the hold is one thing. The weight rating of this piece itself is totally different. So the 45 pounds is what the manufacturer says is the safe caring capacity, and that's what you need to adhere to. The rack body itself overall is about 27 inches long by eight inches wide at this part down here. Now again, the cups are all six in diameter across. The whole thing together weighs about 12 pounds with everything. It is made right here in the US, and it has a nice limited lifetime warranty. Folks, everything here is made of a nice, flexible material, and also high density polyethylene thermal plastic, so it's not gonna scratch or dent the car surface. You can be sure it's gonna be safe for both your vehicle and maybe the rental vehicle that you're using it on. Now I do also recommend you get a trunk or a window cable anchor and cable lock. That's sold separately. That would help deter theft. Folks, I'm Steven. Thanks for looking with me today at the SeaSucker Talent MAX Bike Rack. Have a good one.
