Inno Fork Lock III on roof

The Inno Fork Lock III fork-mount carrier lets you transport 1 bike on the roof of your vehicle. A 9-mm quick-release skewer secures your bike's front fork, and a ratcheting strap holds the rear tire. The carrier clamps onto most crossbars with no tools required. A locking cover secures your bike to the carrier and the carrier to your crossbars.

Fork Block with 9-mm Skewer

Inno Fork Lock III with skewer openInno Fork Lock III with skewer closed

The fork block includes a 9-mm quick-release skewer with an oversize handle. To mount your bike, simply open the handle, lower your bike fork into the skewer, tighten the adjuster, and close the handle. The adjuster will spin freely once your skewer is secure to prevent over-tightening.

Adjustable Rear-Wheel Strap

Inno Fork Lock III rear wheel strap

A v-shaped wheel tray holds tires up to 2-11/16" wide. The rear wheel is secured by a strap that slides along the tray to accommodate bikes of different lengths. The strap ratchets down on both sides of the rear tire to ensure a tight fit.

Easy Installation

The rack installs easily with included mounting hardware - no tools required. Just open the front cover and lift the front lever so you can remove the square nut from the mounting bracket.

Place the rack on your crossbar, slide the bolt into the open end of the bracket, and secure it in place with the square nut. Use the 2 hand knobs and the square nut to adjust the bracket to the size of the crossbar, then close the lever to tighten.

Inno Fork Lock III rear bracket

The rear mounting bracket secures to your crossbar with 2 bolts and 2 knobs. Simply place the bracket under the crossbar, slide the bolt into the bracket, and tighten with a hand knob.

Depending on the thickness of the crossbar, you may need to use the included spacer or rubber sheets to mount the rear hardware. Additionally, you will need the Inno long bolt kit (INISF725) to mount the rack on crossbars 1-1/8" - 2" thick.

Complete Security

The Inno Fork Lock III has a locking cover that lets you secure your bike to the rack and your rack to the crossbars. Video Transcript for Inno Roof Bike Racks Review - 2006 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2006 Honda CR-V, we're going to be test fitting the Inno Fork Lock III Rooftop Bike Rack, part number INA391. We already have our bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. At the rear, we'll have this wheel strap here, which is adjustable along the length of the bike rack to accommodate bikes of different sizes. Then, up at the front, we have this skewer mount which will grip your bike by its fork mounts. With everything installed as it is right now, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between our rear glass hatch and the bike rack, as you can see here. So let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside.

To do that, we'll push on this top tab at the rear strap; then, at the front, if you have keys, you can unlock this, which, looks like we do. Once this is installed, it is secured to the bike rack as well; so we'll undo our skewer here and take our bike up and off. How this attaches to your roof rack, we're going to have this bracket and two turn-knobs at the rear that will grip around your rear factory crossbar. Then, up at the front, we have a similar clamp, which is also protected by this cover. You pop that, this open, to loosen it up or tighten it up; put that in place, then lock this in. Once your bike is installed, not only is your bike secured to the rack, your bike rack is secured to your roof rack as well; so there you have it for the Inno Fork Mount III ...

Excuse me, and there you have it for the Inno Fork Lock III Bike Rack on our 2006 Honda CR-V. Here it is on our test course. We'll start by going through the slalom, and this is going to show us the side-to-side action, which simulates turning corners or evasive maneuvers. Next, we're at the alternating speed bumps, which we'll see the twisting action. This will simulate hitting a curb or pothole, or driving over uneven pavement. Finally, we have the full speed bumps, where we'll see the up-and-down action, which is just like driving out of a parking lot, garage, or driveway..

This rack is great. Seems strong and fits my Gary Fisher Mullet easily. Easy to set up. Best thing is Etrailers shipping and tracking. Literally shipped the night I ordered it. Etrailer is great and I would have no reservations about ordering from them. 605442

This bike rack is a cheaper option to many roof top bike racks that can exceed $200. The system is very rigged and I have loved the system so far. I live around very rough roads, and I have not had the skewer loosen up at all. Even if it did, I feel much better knowing that there is a locking plat over the skewer. With the plate cover being plastic, I still run a bike lock through my frame and roof bar just to add an extra line of defense when camping/leaving my vehicle for extended periods of time. For driving security, the cover does exactly what is intended to do. Overall, a fantastic system and I enjoyed the first class customer service I received when ordering the bike rack. 500954

After two years of use I can confirm that that was the right purchase for us. No complains so far. Easy to put it on and take it off. Works for both mountain and road bikes. Steady and tight on the roof rack of my Ford Fusion. I would recommend this product to my friends. Thanks to Etrailer staff for keep doing great job!

Good product with one exception> Works great on road bike forks but does not support moutian bike forks. You can buy and us an adapter but then you lose the ridgidness and the ability to lock the bike through the fork mount. 460051

Easy to install and works great with my Gary Fisher mountain bike. Plenty of clearance for the brake caliper! Used it in combination with my Rola roof rack on my 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Paula was a huge help with both my orders and making sure I got the right product for my vehicle! Excellent customer service! 522999

Ordered this bike rack for my wife's van. They said it would take 3 days for delivery got it in two days. Set up was easy. It took me longer to get the rack out of the box than it did to get it installed on the roof. Had to make small adjustment to get the bike to sit just right but it was easy. I have had all kinds of roof mounted bike racks in the past and I have to say this is with out question the easiest install and best looking rack I have used. It also has the best locking set up I have seen. No worries of someone staling it off your roof. 417070

Installed in about 5 minutes on my 2015 Honda Pilot factory crossbars and worked well on first use with a mountain bike. No noticeable wind noise when no bike is loaded. 266542

Great rooftop fork mount bike rack that seems like it will attach to just about any bar system or factory rack. Simple enough to install, seems durable and secure, with one minor drawback. The strap for the rear wheel is a rubber "pull to tighten" instead of a ski boot style clamp. I imagine this as difficult after those winter rides with frozen rubber and fingers... But working well in the summer. 209212

Do you have a question about this Roof Bike Rack?

  • Bike Carrier Options for 2019 Honda Civic Si Coupe with Spoiler
  • The Hollywood Racks # HRF2-3 trunk-mount bike rack is not a fit for your 2019 Honda Civic Si Coupe although it does work well with many other vehicles that have a spoiler. I checked the latest 2019 rack fit data from Hollywood Racks, Yakima and Thule to find you a solution and currently (June 2019) the only trunk-mount option is from Thule and only for a 2-bike carrier, their Archway # TH9009XT. My Thule contact advised that this rack will work only with factory-installed spoilers;...

  • Adapter Needed to Fit Thule Prologue Pack 515 Bike Rack to Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbars
  • Thank you for the details and the picture! Since you have everything to mount your (discontinued) Thule Prologue Pack 515 to the square bars all you need is the Thule Ride-On Adapter # TH532 to mount this bike rack to your Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbars. The only problem is that this adapter is the only thing available for a Prologue Pack bike rack and it is only able to accommodate 2 bikes. So if you only need to transport 2 bikes then you will be all set. Otherwise you need a new bike...

  • How to Transport 5 Bikes on 2008 VW Passat Wagon with Class I Trailer Hitch
  • You are correct that a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch like # 24848 has a 200-lb tongue weight (TW) capacity. However, when it comes to bike racks there is another factor that comes into play, leverage on the hitch tube. The more bikes the rack holds the longer it tends to be, naturally. This increased distance from the hitch to the outermost bike translates into extreme leverage forces on the hitch tube, forces that would damage a light-duty Class I hitch. For this reason all Class...

  • Best Way to Carry Bikes on a 2016 Mini Countryman
  • There are two Yakima racks (The Halfback, # Y02636, and Fullback # Y02634) that are confirmed to fit your 2016 Mini Countryman. However, they both need to be converted to anchor mode which can cause damage to the headliner of your Mini over a period time. So if you're not gonig to be carrying your bikes very far or very often they are good options. If you will be carrying them longer the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top carriers are a better option. This includes the two 60" aerodynamic CoreBar crossbars, the 4 Skyline towers that get mounted to the integrated channels on your tonneau cover, and the custom Landing Pads that are designed specifically for those tracks and can remain mounted even when you remove the rack and are using the cover. • Recommended Adapter for Fork Mounted Bike Carrier to Hold 15mm Thru-Axle Forks
  • I was able to find your order of the Inno Fork Lock III Roof Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Clamp On - Aluminum # INA391. I reached out to my contact at Inno and he said they don't make an adapter but other manufacturers do that are compatible. I recommend the Yakima Universal Fork Adapter for 15-mm, Thru Axle Forks # Y02099, the Thule # TH53015, or the Swagman # S64706. All of these will be compatible, so it comes down to brand preference.

The most reasonably priced rack we offer that is compatible with the Thule AeroBlade crossbars that can lock the bike and lock to the crossbars would be the Inno Fork Lock III Bike Carrier # INA391. This is a fork mount rack, so the bike would need quick-release front hubs. I have attached a review video of the Inno Fork...

I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2010 CX-9 you can check out. Carrying 3 standard and one 3-wheel trike is going to be difficult.
