SeaSucker Vacuum Cup

The SeaSucker Talon is quick and easy to mount. To install the rack make sure the mounting surface is clean and place the rack on your roof, trunk, or window glass then press the pump several times until the orange band disappears. To break the seal and remove the rack from your vehicle simply pull the T-shaped tab up and towards the center of the cup. As suction decreases over time the plunger will extend from the cup. When the orange indicator band shows simply repump the plunger.

The rack arrived very quickly. Upon opening the box I observed that the covers for the suction pads had come loose during shipping. Probably not an issue. The instructions for assembly and mounting were clear and easy to follow. I planned to secure the cups to the glass roof on my VW. So, I thought it would be best to clean the glass and roof with auto detailing spray. After doing that I attached the carrier and gave it a prett y good shake. I have attached three photographs that may add clarity. I'm very optimistic. This may be the best carrier I've had for my bicycle. Keep Eager. 565984

Your product is still working great. It’s on top of a fiberglass truck top. Speeds up to 75 mph. It’s a heavy hybrid Fugi. Well I do lose some suction in one of the cups but not much. I’m always able to pump it back up. Sorry I can provide a picture at this time. 652961

I received delivery and setup. I seem to be able to connect my road bike wheel with quick release - but not my road disc bike with thru-axle. Do I need an accessory for thru axle bike? 600159

Ask the Experts about this SeaSucker Roof Bike Racks

Do you have a question about this Roof Bike Rack?

  • How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2016 Mini Clubman
  • Bike rack # TH9043PRO mounts in a trailer hitch receiver. That means you need to have a trailer hitch, like the Curt # C11524, installed on your 2016 Mini Clubman. However, this trailer hitch is a Class I hitch and Class I trailer hitches are limited to 2 bikes maximum. The issue is not the weight but how far that weight is from the trailer hitch. Three or more bikes puts weight too far from the receiver and it can damage the hitch and vehicle. You can carry 2 bikes using the above mentioned...

Class 1 hitches are not capable of hauling more than two bikes at a time, as the additional force generated by the third bike can damage the hitch or rack. If you'd like to add a little security to the Kuat Transfer, there is a lock kit available as part # PTSCLK12 that adds a hitch and cable lock to the system. I've included video...

  • Bike Rack Options for a 2015 Lexus RC350
  • I have a solution for you, but unfortunately, there's not a confirmed hitch fit for the 2015 Lexus RC 350. I don't recommend using a non-verified hitch on a vehicle because it risks damage to the vehicle's frame and internals if something goes wrong with the hitch. Instead, I would recommend looking at a trunk mounted rack or a SeaSucker rack. For a trunk rack, I recommend the Yakima HangOut, part # Y02638. This rack holds up to three bikes on your trunk and allows for a quick install...

  • How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback
  • The best way to carry 3 bikes on your 2018 Chevy Cruze Hatchback and keep access to your rear hatch without removing the bikes or bike rack is to either use a hitch mount bike rack for 2 bikes and a roof mount rack for the 3rd or to carry all three bikes on the roof. These 2 options will require more of an investment than a trunk mount bike rack, but they are your best and safest options. Unfortunately, there are no trunk mount bike racks that will fit the hatchback models at this time...

  • Recommended Bike Rack for a 2008 Honda Fit Sport
  • For the 2008 Honda Fit Sport, the rear bumper is so slim that the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top, part # HRF2 will not work unless the vehicle has a trailer hitch receiver installed. Which at that point, you may as well just use a hitch mounted rack as the capacities will be higher, and you can get better features out of the rack. I recommend just going with the hitch because it's not hard to install and the flexibility in hitch racks and other applications is worth the increased cost....

This is a really unique system that will allow you to carry 1 bike on your Impreza's roof OR trunk. This rack is confirmed to fit your vehicle and unlike most other trunk-mounted racks which require 6 points of contact, this particular unit only uses 4 cables with hooks to attach to the trunk.
