Can etrailer Ratchet Straps e72NR Be Used For Strapping Down Patio Furniture?

Question:
Hello, I am wondering if I can use something like this https://www.etrailer.com/Ratchet-Straps/etrailer/e72NR.html product as strapping for my patio furniture. my current furniture uses a similar strapping product with hooks at each end to clasp around the perimeter furniture structure. this strapping supports the cushions. After years of use the strapping itself has deteriorated and no longer offers support. I was thinking of using the product link shown above to hook onto the frame with the S hooks and ratchet the straps to create tension support for cushions. Currently the strapping is weaved side to side and front to back. If recommended I would use shorter similar product for the front to back weaving strap. The patio seat units are approximately 7 wide by 2 deep, 3 wide by 2 deep, 5 wide by 2 deep and 2 wide by 2 deep in case the dimensions are important to determining if this is a viable solution to my problem. Hello Jennifer, thanks for reaching out. Interesting question. The etrailer Ratchet Straps # e72NR are tow straps so while it would be overkill for securing patio furniture it does sound like they could work for this. As long as the length is suitable for your application I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't work.
