  • Best Way To Carry Cargo on a 2016 Honda Odyssey
I would love to help but none of the roof bags for a bare roof will work with a sliding rear door. Therefore, the Rightline Gear Sport 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag part # RL100S30 will not fit your 2016 Honda Odyssey unless you first install a roof rack like the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System which consists of part # RRVA126B-2, part # RRQMVA10, part # RRRTV168, and part # RRRLT600. The next best option which is also more cost effective would be to install a trailer hitch like the etrailer.com...

  • Can the Curt 59" Cargo Carrier Be Used with a Class 1 Hitch on a 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback
You are not going to want to use the 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18150 in a Class 1 hitch on your 2023 Mazda 3 hatchback with an adapter. The use of an adapter is going to decrease your hitches tongue weight by 50%. With a class 1 hitch, that is essentially going to make your hitch useless. From what I could find, it looks like most hitches that currently fit your 2023 Mazda 3 hatchback have a 200 lb. tongue weight capacity. If you cut that in half you have 100 lbs. Then...

  • Folding Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier, Light Kit and License Plate Bracket Recommendations
The Pro Series carrier, # 63153, does not have an alternative shank that will allow it to fold. You could use the Curt #C18150 with the folding adapter# 52015 or choose a model that folds like the etrailer carrier # e98874. For a license plate bracket, there is not a specific bracket made for the carriers but you can use # LP15SB. Self-tapping screws (not included) can be used to attach it to the carrier.

  • Does Surco Folding Basket Adapter, # 52015 Fit Pro Series Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier # 63153
The Surco Folding Basket Adapter, # 52015 is only verified to work with the Curt carrier # C18150. It is not a fit for the Pro Series carrier # 63153. Curt does make a folding carrier that measures 20x59, # C18151. I have included a link to the installation instructions for Curt carrier # C18151 and the # C18150.

  • Weight of Curt Cargo Carrier 18150
The Curt Cargo Carrier # C18150 weighs approximately 50 lbs. This carrier fits 2 inch trailer hitches, has a 500 lb weight capacity and has inside dimensions of 57-1/2" long x 19-13/16" wide x 5-5/8" deep. I do recommend using Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # 63232 to both lock the carrier and keep it from rattling inside your hitch.

  • What Is the Difference Between the Curt Cargo Carrier 18150 & 18152?
the biggest difference between the 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18150 and the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18152 is the size of the carrier. The # C18150 carrier has outside measurements of 59-1/8" long x 20-13/16" wide x 6-1/2" tall and inside measurements of 57-1/2" long x 19-13/16" wide x 5-5/8" deep. While the # C18152 carrier has outside measurements of 61-9/16" long x 25-5/8" wide x 8-3/8" tall and inside measurements of 60" long x 24" wide x 6" deep. Other...

  • Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2011 Land Rover with 10 inches from Pin to Bumper Edge
The 20 X 59 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18150 has 11" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the carrier . This would work great on your Land Rover. You could also look at the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18151.

  • Best Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier For 1999 Chevrolet Suburban

I have added a cut out for you which shows the measurements of the brackets on the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703 as well as how they mount to box frames, C-channel frames, or I-beam frames. This 2 inch receiver will work on trailer frames that have a width between 22 inches and 72 inches wide and has a 3,500 lb capacity with a 350 lb tongue weight capacity, though I recommend contacting the trailer manufacturer to find out exactly what the capacity of your trailer...

  • Can The Surco Folding Basket Adapter Be Used With The Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier?
While Surco does claim that their Folding Basket Adapter for 2" Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers # 52015 will work with any manufacturers 2" basket rack we have not yet tested to see if it works with the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier # M2200 you mention. We have had this question asked in the past and the manufacturer has expressed concerns on ground clearance. The further the carrier sits off the RV the greater chance of their being clearance issues. We have found that the best...

  • Cargo Carrier Recommendation for Jeep Wrangler
The Curt Cargo Carrier # C18113 is going to provide 6-1/2" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the basket. A better choice, that will provide approximately 11" of clearance from the center of the hitch pin to the front of the basket is the Curt # C18150 and 10" from the rear bumper to the front edge of the basket (with a factory hitch). In addition to the added clearance, it's a bit larger to provide more space for storage. These measurements are taken using...

  • Differences Between Surco Cargo Carrier, Part # 52018 and Tow Ready Cargo Carrier, Part # 63153
The Surco carrier that you mentioned is no longer available. The Tow Ready Cargo Carrier, part # 63153 has a shank that slides into the hitch receiver. It has an angled shank that raises ground clearance by 2-1/2 inches above the top of the receiver. The shank is 12-3/4 inches of clearance between the hitch pin hole and the carrier. The Surco Carrier offers an optional folding adapter, part # 52015 which would allow the carrier to fold up against the rear of the vehicle. This adapter...

  • How to Determine Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier Weight Capacity on 2010 Chevrolet Traverse
The Curt Class III hitch # 13424 that fits your 2010 Chevrolet Traverse LT2 has a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 500-lbs when used with a hitch-mount cargo carrier like their # C18150. (TW is downward force on the hitch.) The vehicle weight rating that matters for this kind of application is the car's TW. This is usually about 10-percent of the gross towing capacity and should be noted in your owner's manual. I checked an online version of the 2010 Traverse manual for its TW rating but...

  • Recommended Hitch With Best Ground Clearance For A 2022 Audi Q7
The hitch I recommend for your 2022 Audi Q7 is the Curt # C13277. This American made hitch will be a pretty involved install, but once finished will have a clean, stock look as only the receiver tube will be able to be seen. So no ugly cross tube. This will also be great for carrying a cargo carrier, like the Curt # C18150, as it is rated up to 7,000 pounds towing and 700 pounds of tongue weight capacity (which is the one you will need to keep an eye on for a cargo carrier), but you will...

  • Can the Load on the Roof of a 2017 Subaru Forester be Over capacity by 14 Pounds and Still be Safe
You probably won't kill yourself but it still isn't a good idea to overload your roof rack or vehicle roof capacity, whichever is lower. Should the roof rack fail it could lead to gear coming off the roof which could cause some problems for other drivers. What all do you have up on the roof? And is there anything that is about 15 pounds that you could put inside your 2017 Subaru Forester? Another option is to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mounted cargo carrier to hold some of...

  • Recommendation to Secure 18 Gallon Tub in the 20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18150
The best way to secure your tubs on the 20x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18150 would be to use some Ratchet Tie-Down Straps like the CargoBuckle # IMF12636. Ratchet tie-downs are a little more secure than Bungee Cords but many use Bungee Cords. If you go with Bungee Cords, I suggest an assortment. I would recommend beginning with 4-6 each of # EM06664 19" and # EM06656 24", along with 2-3 each of the lengths such as # EM06658 36" and/or # EM06668 42". Bungees would be able to keep the tubs...

  • Hauling a Front Mounted Generator Options
In order to haul a generator on the front of your vehicle, I suggest using a front mount trailer hitch such as the # 13703. This is an adjustable type hitch that fits frames from 22" to 72" in width. It is not a custom fit but will require a little bit of fabrication and some welding. Curt states that all non-trailered loads need to be secured with Stabilizing Support Strap # 18050. • Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ford Escape
The concealed cross tube hitches for your 2014 Ford Escape have a slightly long install time than the visible cross tube hitches. Either hitch design wouldn't be that hard to install though so if it were my vehicle I would go with the concealed crosstube hitches like the part # 75782 over the visible ones like part # 75758. For a hitch cargo carrier the part # C18150 would work very well.

  • Differences Between Curt Cargo Carriers part # C18152 and C18150
To put it simply...the difference is 4 inches. The platform of the # C18150 measures 20 inches by 60 inches and the part # C18152 measures 24 by 60 inches. Also, the shank of the # C18152 is a bit longer which would be better for you. It has a distance of 11 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the nearest rail whereas the # C18150 has 7-1/2 inches there. I attached a review video that shows the # C18150 being used on a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited just like yours as well.
