A water pump is needed to get the water from your RV or boat's fresh water holding tank up to your faucets. This automatic pump from Seaflo not only performs this task, but it also ensures a consistent flow and high-volume output for up to 2 fixtures. This means you can run your shower and your kitchen faucet at the same time without losing pressure. It's also energy efficient and runs quietly.

Seaflo pumps for RV fixtures

No-Mess Self-Priming

There are 2 types of pumps you can get for your RV: one that requires manually priming every time you run your fresh water tank dry, and one that primes automatically. Manual priming requires that you pour water into the pump, which can be inconvenient and messy. This pump primes itself, keeping you and your RV clean and dry. Also features an internal check valve that prevents backflow contamination of your clean water supply.

Worry-Free Operation

Seaflo uses an automatic start-and-stop pressure switch that lets the pump run dry long enough to self-prime. If you turn your water on and realize you've unknowingly run your fresh water tank dry, the pump can run dry without damage while you shut the faucet and the pump off. The pressure switch also protects the pump motor from overheating when the water has been on for a while. So, if one of your kids leaves the faucet on, you're going to town with the washdown hose, or your teen takes a long shower (despite your asking them to conserve water), the pump will kick off when it starts to get hot. Once the motor has cooled, it will automatically come back on if the faucet or shower is still turned on.

To use this pump once it's installed, you only have to turn the water on!

Quick Tips: Some of our neighbors suggest unplugging this pump when you're traveling to prevent it from turning on accidentally if your faucets shake. And some of our feline-loving friends also recommend unplugging the unit any time you leave your cats unsupervised.

Installation

This pump can be installed on the floor, under a cabinet, or on the wall. Because this pump has a vertical, priming, lift you can install it up to 6' above your fresh water tank. Just make sure to measure 6' from the bottom of your holding tank. This is where the intake fitting will sit.

Pump feet and mounting pattern

Once you've determined the pump's location, it can be secured to its new home with 4 screws (not included).

Filter

A filter is included to prevent debris from entering the pump. To install this, just screw it inline with the inlet port.

The fittings on this pump are male NPT ports. Screw the 1/2"-14 NPT hose barbs onto the pump fittings. The hose barb fittings have wingnuts to make it easy to turn the fittings by hand. Once you have the tubing (sold separately) in place on the hose barbs, add hose clamps (sold separately) for extra security.

Fill your fresh water tank and turn your water faucet on to clear the lines of air. The pump should kick on immediately, but because self-priming can take up to a minute to complete, give it a little time to start producing water at the faucet.

  • Replacement Water Pump for Shur Flo 4008-101-F65 in Winnebago Vista 31KE
I checked out the specs of the Shurflo 4008-101-F65 and the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR would be a great replacement as it has the same flow rate of 3.0 gallons per minute and has same PSI rating of 45.

  • Will Seaflo Variable Flow Pump Be Quieter Than Old Shurflo Pump?
Hello Warren, thanks for reaching out. You are correct about the variable flow on the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE58FR. The variable flow is based on demand so it would not run as hard with lower water usage making it slightly quieter. We have found these Seaflo pumps to be quieter compared to other brands, especially when replacing older Shurflo models, which appears to be what you have. Having it securely mounted will help as well. The pump in your picture is original, correct? I think...

  • Replacement Water Pump for 2006 Tiffin Phaeton 40QDH 2088-422-144
Hey John, what you have now is a Shurflo, but more important to that is the specs you listed. So for a suitable replacement the Seaflo part # SE58FR would be your best option. It is the same PSI rating of 45 psi but can flow a little more at 3 gallons per minute. The max amp draw is 8 amps too. How long did your water pump last? Was it the original?

  • Troubleshooting A Fogatti Tanjless Water Heater That Goes Cold But Doesn't Have An Error Code
If the hot water from your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR is fading back to cold it could be for the following reasons: If you have a lack of lp gas pressure the unit won't be able to keep up. Typically you would get an error code with this. Since you're not it leads me to believe that it's either a water pressure issue or electrical issue. Check the water pressure at the unit to ensure it's getting around 40-50psi so that it can keep up with the demand at the point of use...

  • Recommended Replacement For A Shurflo 4008-101-F65 RV Water Pump
Hi Dorothy, The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE58FR would be a compatible replacement for your Shurflo 4008-101-F65, but it has a lower psi rating so you'd see a bit of a drop in pressure. Instead I recommend going with the Seaflo # SE57FR. This unit has a 3.0GPM, 55 psi rating, and operates on 12v DC power. Everything I can find on the 4008-101-F65 shows it being 12v DC but we can clear up any confusion by checking where it gets power from. If it runs to the battery or to a fused port on...

Hi Kim; the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR you were looking at will work well as a replacement. This has the same flow at 3 GPM with a slightly higher max pressure of 45 psi. The higher max psi won't be an issue. This also comes with a 4-year limited warranty. Any trips planned with your Flagstaff before summer wraps up?

  • Are Replacement Gaskets Available For An Artis RV Water Pump
you would need to reach out to the manufacturer in order to get a replacement gasket for your Artis Water Pump. If you can't get the gasket or decide that you just want to replace it instead then you'd want to go with the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs - Variable Flow - 3 GPM - 45 psi - 12V DC # SE58FR. It has the same 3 gallons per minute flow rate at 45 psi (your Artis is 40 psi) so you won't be sacrificing any performance. If you do replace your unit then I recommend checking...

  • Can the psi be of the Seaflo 60 psi Diaphragm Pump Be Adjusted
No, the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump, # SE24FR is a 12 VDC pump that flows up to 5.5 gallons per minute and pressure setting at 60 psi. This is a variable flow based on demand, there is not an adjustable setting on the unit itself to make changes. If you are needing your pump to be within the 45-55 psi range you would want to go with one of the below pumps: - Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR (45 psi) - Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689052 (50 psi) - Seaflo Diaphragm Pump...

  • Replacement Seaflo Diaphragm Pump Options for a Shurflo 4008-101-A65 Water Pump
The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR has the same 45 psi rating as the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 so it would be the closest match, but as long as your setup is able to take the higher 55 psi pressure rating of the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump # SE57FR then it will be perfectly fine to use. The GPM rating is still 3 though so the only real difference between the two is the psi rating.

  • Recommended Replacement for Shurflo 4008-101-A65
Per the specs of the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 it looks like we have two very good options in the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump, # P25201 and the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs, # SE58FR. Each are 12VDC pumps and rated at 3 gallons per minute and receive great customer feedback. I suggest the the HydroMax RV Fresh Water Pump, # P25201 because of the slightly higher pressure of 55 psi over that of the Seaflo's 45 psi and the additional amount of customer ratings that this pump has received....

  • Replacement for Shurflow 2088 403 144 RV Water Pump
Although the Seaflo # SE58FR pump has a slightly lower flow rate (3.0 gpm versus 3.5 gpm for the Shurflo) it should still do a good job for you. Both pumps operate at 45 psi pressure, and have the same mounting dimension and are both compatible with a 1/2 inch hose. If you'd rather get closer to the original flow rate, the # LC689052 LCI Flow Max has a 3.3 gpm flow rate, operates at the same pressure and is compatible with the same hose diameter.

I recommend the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR to replace your current Shurflo 2088-422-444. The Seaflo is 12v and 45 psi just like your current Shurflo but has 3.0 gallons per minute compared to the 2.8 gallons per minute your Shurflo is running at. The Seaflo also comes with a 4 year limited warranty compared to a 2 year limited warranty that its counterpart the Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump # LC689052 comes with.

  • Can The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater Be Installed In A Van
Yes, but the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR requires a water pressure of 2 psi up to 120 psi to properly function. You would need a pump to create the pressure for it to operate if you're pulling from a 7 gallon tank. I recommend the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR with its 3.0 GPM and 45psi rating. Other than that you'll just want to mount it in a well ventilated place with 3" of clearance on the sides and 8" of clearance above.

This system can mount right to the side of your cart and is lightweight. For the water pump I recommend the Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs # SE58FR. It's going to provide enough water pressure for the # EX93FR to run properly.
