The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar – 1-3/8" Diameter ties the rear axle to the chassis so weight transfer stays balanced through corners and quick maneuvers. It keeps the ride flatter and steadier on uneven pavement, helping you hold your line without wrestling the wheel.
Long hauls or windy roads can wear you down fast when the vehicle sways from side to side. This system minimizes that motion by connecting the rear axle and frame so the whole setup moves together instead of fighting itself. You’ll notice fewer steering corrections, less sway from passing trucks or crosswinds, and a more relaxed drive from start to finish.
This bar is made from thick 4140 chromoly steel, a chromium-molybdenum alloy that’s tougher than the 1020 steel used in many stock systems. The 1-3/8" diameter increases torsional stiffness, giving it nearly 30 percent more resistance to sway. That extra rigidity translates into tighter, more confident handling every time the road twists or the load shifts.
Instead of standard rubber, this setup uses polyurethane bushings that stand up to oil, gasoline, and ozone. They hold shape longer, which means less give in the system and more consistent stability over time. The sway bar comes with heavy-gauge mounting hardware, easy-to-follow instructions, and bushing lubricant for straightforward installation with no drilling required.

This is one of the best upgrades I have made to my 2016 F350 dually. The vehicle handles noticeable better while towing as well as without a load. I bought this stabilizer to help with body roll when cornering while towing my 19,000 lb 5th wheel. But I was surprised how well handling improved with an empty truck while driving down winding country roads. My truck now corners better than my wife’s Ford Escape (not exaggerating this). I state this a year after making this upgrade. If and when I buy a new truck, this will be one of the first upgrades I will make.
Sway bar works great. Bi notice once our 32 ft camper was behind it. Much better handling.
Damn, that was quick delivering the parts. One box was ripped open as someone else mention but I'm grateful the hardware box didn't fall out. It's a tough product to deliver, guessing 60 pounds for the sway bar

It was a straight forward installation. I went with Roadmaster over Hellwig because the stock end links could be used. When you put this bar next to the stock bar, the Roadmaster is enormous in comparison. Looking forward to my first trip towing the 5th wheel.
2016 Ford F350 Dooley. Holes had to be drilled on the swaybar to fit my end link bolts. That was easy. The sway bar fit perfectly and took about an hour to install.
The bar seems to keep my truck a bit more level during curves with the truck camper on. Definitely a bit harsher ride empty though. Would do it again when I replace this truck.
Installed this on my 2015 Ford F350 to help with truck camper sway. Super easy install for a Ford F350 if you already have the pencil thin stock sway bar. The Roadmaster model 1139-173 is the one you need since you can reuse your end links. The bar was packaged well. I was looking at the Hellwig Big wig first since it is cheaper and comes with new links. But it is extremely difficult to remove the existing link above the fuel tank. Also the Hellwig is a thinner bar. It came packaged very well and arrived only a few days after I purchased it on Etrailer. Overall very happy with the results. The truck corners well under load and sway is all but gone when fully loaded with the camper.
Have driven many miles with factory installed Sway bar - was garbage. Installed Roadmaster Rear sway bar improving our ride 100% as we felt more secure rounding corners traveling thousands of miles with less fatigue! Too Alaska & back!
Excellent product which greatly improved control while loaded with the pickup camper. The challenge here was the shipping. An awkward part to ship which arrived with a destroyed box and missing the inner box of mounting hardware. Called etrailer and was told they would take care of it; then silence. I sent emails and left voice mails without a response until I called back on the main line and spoke to a different rep who let me know it was due to ship out that day. Excellent people who ultimately took care of me even though not their fault though I would recommend more communication to let me know they were taking care of the issue rather than let me guess for two weeks. Overall, etrailer has been excellent to work with and this was my third project with them. I will buy from them again. JB

Replaced the anti-sway bar on our 2019 F350. No special tools or jacks needed for the installation. Now our Lance 850 truck camper doesn’t sway nearly as much as before. Big improvement. Very pleased!
The axle side bushing brackets did not like up with the bolt holes on my 2016 f350. I had to drill them out about 1/4" further on each side.
New sway bar will definitely make hauling my lance TC less stressful however as others have mentioned the bolt hole spacing is wrong. I had to take a die grinder and take over an 1/8" of each set of slotted holes. This needs to be addressed by the supplier.

I prefer to purchase direct from most manufacturers due to tech support and service. It makes all the difference knowing that you are communicating with a real person and not AI. The Roadmaster 1 3/8” rear sway bar has been my most effective purchase for my truck to date. The SuperSprings SuperSway Stops are right up there in effectiveness as with the rear sway bar. The rear sway bar and SuperSprings SuperSway Stops were very easy to install and I feel like I am driving a different truck. In combination, the two purchases have made the truck and camper feel like one vehicle; no longer does it feel like a truck with something in the bed. VERY stable on turns, twists, hills and angles. I cannot recommend these products enough.
