Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Lippert standard baggage door latch kit. Now this is a black option, but it's also gonna secure your camping gear with the replacement standard baggage door latch kit from Lippert Components. Now this kit's gonna be very easy to install. It's gonna come with everything you need to secure your vehicle and your valuables while camping, so giving you your peace of mind while camping. It's gonna include the baggage door latch, it's gonna include the door edge cover and the door latch striker, as well as the keys to get in, lock it, and the nine hardware as well.
Now you can keep intruders out very safely with this kit, so it's a good addition if you don't already have one or if you're just replacing one. Now folks, I wanna show some dimensions on this guy real quick. I'll fill up a graphic. So keep in mind that would be this direction. So that's all those dimensions.
You can also find that on our website as well. And flipping over to the back of this guy, I want to throw up some dimensions of that as well. So center to center. On the tallest part, we get two and 1116 inches. And on that bottom one side to side, you get two and 13/16ths of an inch center to center.
Now this shorter plate here, this guy is gonna give you, on center to center, those holes is gonna be one and a quarter inches. So center to center, one and a quarter inches. And on this longer guy, center to center is three and 5/16ths of an inch center to center. Again, you get the included key, that way you can lock it if you wanna lock it or unlock it and then open up the door latch. You can see the spring loaded guy moving when I open it.
And on the backside you can see the mechanism turning and pulling that striker or that latch there. Again, very smooth operation folks. Great, great Lippert baggage door latch kit. You're gonna be super impressed. I think it is made in the USA and it's got a nice one year warranty as well. Folks, that's gonna do it for a look at this Lippert baggage store latch kit. Wrong product. When I opened the package I knew they would not work on my cargo doors. I called your offices and they said I would get me a way to return them. However I haven't gotten a return package label as of today. Saturday 9/2/25. Hopefully someone contacts me soon about this matter.
cheap China product. original was three pieces but replacement Was 2 pieces. this prevented installation thru handle hole. junk do not waste time and money
I bought the storage slam latches and in 5 minutes both were in working just like originals. It nice to find a place where you can buy parts you need and get it right the first time. Thank you Emily and the rest of the e trailer staff.

Works great, unfortunately these are made out of really cheap product and break very easy.
