Question:

I would like to add your slam shut latch to my motorhome cargo door s. Dont like the existing twist knobs that are on there know. I would add the latch between the existing knobs. The inside frame lip where the striker plate would go is only 1/2 inch high. Which of your products would come the closets to fit my application?

The Lippert # LC317649 that you referenced is not designated as a slam latch.

I have attached a link to all the slam latches that we have. They are very similar, but the Global Link # GL34FR works with doors down to 3/4" thick, where as the others are made for doors 1-1/2" thick. If your door thickness is only 1/2" thick, then you may need a thick gasket or shim made for it.
